I think the conrod bolts are the weakest link. I don't go past 7400, but then I'm thrashing it in gravel rally ;)

@@boamerangracing fair enough. Most of the average ST's worth between £7-10k

9k is quite cheap if you ask me, if you got a Nissan skyline you are looking at 25k for a sequential, so I'd happily pay 9k for one

​@@boamerangracingI don't know how I missed your reply, but thanks! Sadly enough they are only rated to 380nm though, i'm looking for a sequential for my mk7 fiesta st, but am already over 400nm, so I guess the quaife 10j remains the best option for me for now

@@MrTurbo_ I am using this box on an ecoboost engine now, I believe the warranty is up to that torque but they can handle more - especially the longer final drives as the teeth are thicker.

@@gaz10182 we had a look on Sunday, damage from the crash doesn’t look too bad. Engine is dead though so that’s a big job. Hope you manage to find some shafts mate I bet they’re not easy to come by.

Thanks! This was the first time we had both driven brands hatch so we were still getting used to the circuit. In the morning session we were just trying to get the right lines and get some space ahead as traffic is always an issue with track sessions.

@@boamerangracing yeah you could tell you were faster in the corners for sure! It’s weird because he kinda got away when he first overtook you, then it looks like he gave up... then again your lap times were coming down as well haha ;)

David Hanna There is no problem with overtaking on chris curve, they even say this in the briefings - from the video you can see there is room to pass

I don't know what the Red EcoBoost is running, but he wouldn't get out the way; it's also a tight small track making it hard to get passed cars. Those 1.0 EcoBoosts can be mapped and tuned to over 200bhp though. The Blue Mk7 ST 1.6 Turbo is probably a hybrid turbo running anywhere from 280-330bhp+, I'm more concerned there was an R reg car on the track..

The ‘1.0 ecoboost’ had st180 engine, 300hp + 🤣

mark J woodford this was making 295bhp 330ftlb. Reliability wise I never had an issue, I’ve now moved onto an NA setup
