So far, I only have a Mithril Action and Star Toys(?) unlicensed WoW orcs. Great to see Mety’s broken down. ✌🏾➕✊🏾
Freak
It's a freaky design choice, right? Mixing those classic colors with the Batman Returns suit is such a weird choice, but it works!
Just got the figure but my light isn’t working
That happened with the Ultraman I got. Zoffy works like a dream but Ultraman doesn't work at all.
@ Well I got zoffy and the light ain’t working, you by chance know how to fix it?
@@LurkingClass117 Unfortunately I do not. Or my Ultraman would be fixed haha. You've tried replacing the batteries, right? Aside from the batteries possibly being faulty, the only thing I can think of is there being a loose connection somewhere. But I'm not brave enough to open it up and I'm terrible at soldering.
Have you had any problems with this figure?
Thankfully no. The knees on one of them locked up a bit, but I think that's more a matter of wearing down the detents.
ijust bought a few of the standard bare body apes. Such a great line.
It really is! Solid articulation that puts a lot of the major companies to shame with a whole lot of heart behind the line in general. Just good people making good toys and you love to see it!
Oh Wow! That’s awesome that you got him. I’ve seen; Shadow, Tails, Sonic, Super Sonic & Tails in the Chibi Head Disguise. Is it just me, or does Knuckles draw a lot of parallels to Drax from the Guardians of the Galaxy. I mean, mostly in how he is used in the movies. Like, a lovable thug & unexpected comedy relief. I think you’re on point about the head movement. Really don’t like when characters are stuck in place like that. Another banger of video Boss!! 🤘🤜🥊
I actually got him slightly too much lol. I snagged a preorder on Amazon, happened across one in a local Target, and actually had a whole case of the wave preordered from Entertainment Earth that I forgot about. Though I returned the case. I think the pack was 1 Knuckles, 1 Shadow, 1 Chibi Tails, and 3 Super Sonics. And I think that's a great observation about Knuckles and Drax! As for the head movement, it is really sad. Hopefully Jakks finds away to fix it in a future release. And thank you so much as always my friend!
As a huge fan of Knuckles, this figure is something I've always wanted.
I would say it's been worth the wait! Incredibly solid all around.
@@TyrannosaurusMoth My only wish is that someday we get a Knuckles like this but with articulated dreads, I don't know how they could ever do that but I would be happy if they could swivel up at the base or halfway point. I know the person who designed these figures said that they had to be solid because the dreads and limbs are made on the same piece, so have to be the same material.
This is a near masterpiece. I've been waiting for a action figure of one of my favorite characters from only one of my favorite movies since the 70's. Kinda $$$ . Might wait for a bootleg 😂❤
It's very much worth it! I hope you're able to pick one up one way or another!
That thing is rad. I dig it.
These are finally starting to hit the UK so I'm looking forward to getting my own. It's a bit of a shame that the JW Allosaurus doesn't have the big claws of the real thing, you would assume they would keep them or even make them bigger.
Hell yeah! Have you been able to pick one up yet? And I'm with you on the claws. Especially since we just got Therizinosaurus Mattel has shown they're happy to lean in when applicable.
@@TyrannosaurusMoth I got one! It's fantastic! I think it's the best release of the hammond collection so far, hitting every mark. If it had waist articulation like the T. rex then it would be perfection. I also got Delta, but had to get a replacement because when I got her her leg was fully glued solid and then snapped off. Did you see they announced Spinosaurus and Stegosaurus? The Stegosaurus is the dinosaur I've most wanted in this line since it started, especially now after all the improvements. I just hope it has a plastic tail like the Ankylosaurus (my favourite of the line so far) because I'm not sure how all this rubber will hold up. I have a figure of the reaper from Dr Who, Idk if you're familiar with that. It was produced in 2005, and I got mine new in box in 2015, and within a week the rubber tail on it had cracked and crumbled- after just a decade, and in box too. So that has always made me nervous about such rubber elements.
@@Dilopho Awesome! It is really top tier and I'm so glad you were able to snag one! Also sad to hear about your copy of Delta but good to hear you could get a replacement. I worry a lot about something braking on any of the Hammond stuff since the secondary market prices are so insane. And I had heard rumors about Spino and the Stegosaurus but were they officially announced? If that's the case that's fantastic! That and I'm with you on the tail. I haven't had any issues in my own collection so far with rubber parts of figures but that is my exact concern. I'm not familiar with any Dr. Who stuff but I just looked up that figure and that design is killer! I feel your pain with the tail issue you had as I can imagine how heartbreaking that must have been. That would absolutely make me more wary of rubber parts.
Is this the uncirculated figure? If so have you had any problems woth it?
As far as I'm aware this was only available through PowerTown themselves. So circulated but in a limited capacity. I am happy to say I haven't had any issues with mine though. Joints are solid, paint apps are on point, and overall it's a really solid figure.
Yeah they have a couple of Brody and Hanson left on their site listed as uncirculated. Wondering if this was one of those. @TyrannosaurusMoth
@@danielcropper7621 Ah ok, I didn't even realize that was a thing haha. Where those say "for display only" I'm guessing there's something fragile/off with the articulation. I think there would have been something mentioning that with mine if that was the case and mine definitely feels solid overall with no articulation issues.
Exquisite taste !
Thank you so much!
Did you say that a NECA black and white version is expected to come out? when will that be! I agree that it'd be absolutely the best version. The green coat is a slight throwoff for me
I did! Actually, I don't remember seeing it actually announced but thought I had heard about it somewhere (though it seems like a logical inevitability considering how NECA works). Then, a couple of weeks back I was browsing Target's website looking for something else and there it was! So I've had it in my queue for a bit, but haven't had a chance to review it yet. But if you're interested it looks like it's still available on Target's site! www.target.com/p/neca-nosferatu-ultimate-count-orlok-black-and-white-7--34--scale-action-figure/-/A-90787576
But that version comes with a whole different set of accessories which is a bit off putting if you want the ones that comes with this colored version…
That thing is awesome.
They went pretty ham with this one! I even saw this in person at Secret Galaxy Expo and it didn't really hit me how great it all was until now.
This is pretty sick, looks like it would display well on the shelf with NECA Ultimates. Really hoping they actually end up producing the Klownzilla , that’ll be a day one preorder for me
It looks right at home with NECA's Ultimates and it rules. NECA has had the horror action figure niche cornered for so long and it's refreshing to see a new company come in to give us some stuff that they either can't or won't delve into so I'm all for it haha. That being said, I'm right there with you on Klownzilla!
@@TyrannosaurusMothpretty much my thoughts exactly! I was pretty excited by that 8” scale stuff Trick or Treat Studios did last year when it got announced, but seeing it all in hand the figures just didn’t really do it for me, I ended up passing on them. This Pumpkinhead looks way more in line with what I’d want out of a NECA competitor/equivalent. I honestly don’t even love the movie but I’ll probably snag this if any of my local shops end up getting it. It seems like NECA is gonna get back on track with horror stuff in 2025 (I’m so hype for the Ash and Cheryl 2 pack plus those new Ultimate Leatherfaces) but I agree that there’s just so many untapped licenses and stuff, we need another player in the game
@@uncle_vatred I totally forgot about the Trick or Treat Studio stuff! I gotta look into them again. At least look at some reviews. I'm right with you on the upcoming NECA stuff! That Ash and Cheryl pack is one of my most anticipated for the year and I'm real interested in seeing how those Leatherfaces turn out. They look amazing and though I do love the Mezco Leatherface, I really want a well done Leatherface with fewer soft goods.
@@TyrannosaurusMothyeah i skipped the one:12 Leatherface even tho it looked great, im not really a fan of softgoods stuff or stuff at that scale for that price range. That ultimate pretty woman Leatherface NECA showed off at the cons this past year is like my dream figure lol , so hype. Plus the revamped ultimate vanilla Leatherface is along overdue update, the og NECA ultimate Leatherface always had a very meh face sculpt to me. On top of all that, there’s the 8” cloth hitchhiker reissue that’s also happening.
Tyranid is Joytoy.
That is 100% correct and I can't believe I said Hiya. Can you tell I'm tired? lol.
Loved how you put different type figures and number of ur top picks for the year. Adds something different others are not doing
Thank you so much!
One of the best figures by far
It's so good!
Damn, I wish I could find this figure for a decent price somewhere, really want it
I know Klowzilla is comin', so here's hoping they'll be doing the other main three Klowns. For some weird reason, I didn't get those SOTA Killer Klowns. Only SOTA fig I ever got was Jeepers Creepers...back when figures came with dioramas at no extra cost. And here's hoping they'll finally put out that Leprechaun figure that was shown off all those years back, complete with the wishing well. Besides their upcoming Ghoulies stuff, let's hope they do Critters too. Like they could do both bounty hunters, and come with various Crites. Oh, and we need Torok from Troll!
I'm so excited for that Klownzilla! And I would imagine the other Klowns couldn't be too far behind, especially if Klownzilla does well. Never got any of the SOTA horror stuff myself, though I do have the Street Fighter Vega and I love that figure. How long ago did they show off Leprechaun? And I'd be all for Critters! Your idea of having them come with the Crites is money if you ask me.
@@TyrannosaurusMoth For sure. They could _easily_ do like six different clowns if they wanted...but at least do the main three. I believe Leprechaun was shown off in 06' or 07', along with Herbert West from Reanimator. They would've been part of series 4; but just never came to fruition due to poor sales, new management, and declining quality. And the Critters thing is a no-brainer. You wouldn't even need articulation with 'em, plus they're army builders.
You could totally trick someone into thinking this was made by NECA...and that's not a bad thing. _[That huge Donnie's Lab fiasco lately, yikes! And NECA just kept diggin' that hole deeper - and you know graves aren't 6' deep.. the top of caskets are at best are 2' below the surface. Nice I've been a fortunate one with always receiving great customer service from 'em...like getting a free life-size Tiffany w/my Chucky replacement 😸]_ The price is what really gets me. I'm gonna chalk it up to their MOQ is very low - unlike the dudes previous SOTA Toys figures. Even though I'm very happy we got what we got, it would've been so sweet if we got the Ed Harley head at the end of the movie, a stabby rifle (w/the sling), and a left gripping hand to hold the bike chain.
Man wouldn't it be awesome to get an Ed Harley figure. I know it won't happen, but I'd make it like a Pumpkinhead accessory pack too. So you'd get Pumpkinhead's Ed head, the rifle he uses to spear that one kid, a left gripping hand, the dirt bike chain, and the mummified "husk" Pumpkinhead...complete with removable necklace. Shit, make it an Ed & Haggis deluxe 2-pack affair. Charge $100, and the exclusive version could come with a 1:1 replica of the necklace.
Dude, you have fantastic ideas! I would literally buy all of that if they went that route!
@@TyrannosaurusMoth Thanks man! And I totally forgot about the flamethrower accessory...and parts could be used from the one that came with MacReady. That replica totem pendant is a must for the set.
Gotta give 'em props for sculpting the nips, pee pee, and balls. Even though they're very subtle, at least they did somethin'.
I recently got this figure and I know this is an older video but I genuinely appreciate how thorough you were with the articulation I was afraid to break it because of how stiff the joints on my copy were
I'm so glad my review could be of use! I have noticed more and more Marvel Legends requiring a little heat before really posing them lately. The plastic for this version of Ironheart is definitely a bit harder than they're normal releases as well which most likely doesn't help .
I have seen many reviews about this figure and I have seen same QC issue like the chest is a different color from the rest of his body and also the knees is a different color with his pants and almost all the issue I see are the same so it means it's not about the bad copy but they really got this one failed🤦
I'll admit, I didn't notice the difference between the upper and lower torso until you mentioned it. I did notice the knees, but it seems the lighting is key there. And having seen that with other lines I figured it was the density of the plastic that might be playing a role there. Though, if the first wave is any indication, I'm wondering if they'll do a running change to fix those issues as they continue to roll this one out like they did for Ryu.
@TyrannosaurusMoth I hope so too and this is the first Dee Jay action figure so I really hope they fix this. Anyway if you look at his photo on the back of his package there is a big difference in the photo and he is much darker brown there and I don't see any QC and that's the Dee Jay we need
Duuude I really hope they make the werewolf from Dog Soldiers
That would kick so much ass! Their next release is going to be the werewolf from The Howling so I think if anyone picks that up, it would be Syndicate!
@@TyrannosaurusMoth I had that on pre-order, but then canceled after I saw Dean Knight's review. They really didn't capture the movie design well, other than the long pointy bunny ears. The eye and teeth paint don't look great. The craziest thing is it's the same price as Pumpkinhead. It's itty bitty by comparison, and you get less stuff. If it was the cost of a NECA figure, I'd probably still get it - just 'cause I have a thing for werewolves.
Sick!!!
Vivid memories of this rivalry as a kid.
Absolutely terrified me as a kid. Especially the time Warrior was just throwing up all over the place. They just don't do it like that anymore lol.
Dude where the fuck did you find that? I can’t find it anywhere!
Excellent review! I ended up getting two of this set because I had one on pre-order and got another when they were available online. Excellent set, though I've seen the criticisms people had with this character and the liberties taken with it. But you can't deny how awesome evrerthing in this set is. Almost everything for Road Pig is brand new sculpting. Was stoked to add him tot he Dreadnok collection. The additional pig head mask is super cool and I finally made use of it but customizing the second set I gor. Went full ham on the brutal and almost horror movie vibe for it haha. Added in body parts taken from other figures and having them dangle on a rope strapped across the body and carrying meat cleavers, that nasty meat hook, and other tools. It's almost a whole new figure you get just with that head sculpt alone!
Thank you so much! I haven't seen the criticisms you mention thankfully but I can imagine what they are haha. And now I'm totally curious about how that custom you made turned out! It sounds amazing!
These figures look so cool I've been wanting to get them
I highly recommend them! They're every bit as fun to pose as they are to look at.
@TyrannosaurusMoth thats great to hear. Maybe i will start next year. The only one I've seen in the wild is Dhalsim, as much as i like dhalsim he wasnt tempting enough to make me jump in but a cammy or a ryu or a bison maybe
Great review, look forward to seeing more!:)
Thank you so much!!!
What scale is this and will this scale with 3.75 figures
I believe it's 1/35th scale. The Hammond Collection Carnotaurus at the beginning of the Size Comparisons section is 1/18th. So, while these wouldn't work as adult Carnotaurus' with 3.75 human figures, they can definitely pass as babies.
They missed an opportunity to include an accessory from one of his best episodes. When he got the upgraded arm and turned evil briefly
I completely forgot about that episode! That would have been amazing. Real good excuse for an exclusive down the line though.
Such a weird choice for a figure but it looks good! Hoping all find it in person randomly
Isn't it? It's a whole lot of fun and indeed looks good! If you keep your eyes peeled in your local Target in a few weeks I would imagine that's when these start popping up. They always seem to hit retail either right when they show up online or within the following weeks.
He looks like a dang troll 😂
Wow so glad I didn't waste my money. Thanks for the truth on this
I'm glad I could help! It's definitely disappointing in a lot of ways. Now I REALLY want another company to give us a proper Sabu. I forget if he has WWE Legends deal but that could be our only hope for a good modern Sabu figure.
So I ended up getting this, why didn't anyone mention that her dress is removeable? You unclip her bra piece and then you can take it and the dress off.
Just here for the chest hair.
They did a magnificent job on this one.
Just picked this up at Ross! I scored big ! Great video
Me too!
@MAESTRO1MONSTER what a great pick up
Thank you so much! And that is a big score indeed! Hearing about all these great finds people have, I wish I had one near me haha.
Very cool. I want one now for my collection
It's a classic! And eBay prices actually pretty good. Right now it looks like it's only $60 MOC.
That weird weapon Leo comes with is a recycle from a 90's predator figure, it was one of those ones where you pull him side ways and he swings side ways holding that thing as if he's slashing. I can only assume it was "We still have that mold? Why not."
About the problem, The problem is Super 7 may be cool, BUT who are they to update playmates molds? I dont care but the big argument is is that its playmates design, so to say Super 7 did better is off putting. (mainly to nut job playmates fanboys)
Ah, that makes sense!
If they based it on the original TMNT comic Sunday strip, then this is actually accurate. Leonardo has the gritting teeth not Donatello, also their skin is textured, but later dropped it possibly due to the printing cost. If it based on the original Playmates toys, then it is not accurate. But, I'd rather based it off the original material rather than the toys as the OG toys is definitely not accurate
These feel like they kinda tried to do both? lol. The "Remastered" labelling implies that they're updates of the original Playmates line which I think is why so many (myself included) were confused about some of the choices made. Though, potentially to your point, maybe that Remastered labelling is more of a nod to the original intention for the OG line. At the end of the day, I think it's an interesting entry in the litany of Turtles toys we've been getting these past few years.
@@TyrannosaurusMoth I think there was an interview or documentary where Laird said to Playmates that the figures aren't accurate as faces were swapped and it supposedly have texture like Fantastic Four Thing as it was his favorite comic book character. So I think they corrected it based on the intended design.
@@momo.ru-kun Oh that is interesting. I'm going to have to look for that interview because that is a crazy piece of background info.
If they made the feathers on the back cloth and maybe made her face smaller, it'd be absolutely perfect I'll admit, I never watched Power Rangers as a kid and have no nostalgia for it. I just ended up watching some episodes of it purely because of Rita. She's so cute. Her standing next to Geed makes me wonder if she would try to appeal to his inner dark side and try to make him her new ranger minion. She's lucky she has to deal with the rangers and not the Ultras. I don't think she'd like to see Goldar's head be casually sliced off of his shoulders.
Soft goods feathers would have been amazing on this! And have you ever seen the original Sentai series Zyuranger? Bandora (Rita) is even more amazing in that I think.
@@TyrannosaurusMoth I have, I haven't seen much from either show, but I latched onto Zyuranger much more easily because it's just... well, not to be mean to Power Rangers, but it's better. It feels like the likes of Ultraman. Bandora is simply amazing. Plus, it has a lot more dinosaurs and dinosaur-related things. I instantly liked the show when I saw Bandora rearrange an entire city to form a giant Super Mario World-style villain palace. Her power is incredible. Then by the time I was watching a robot T. rex doing a Gorosaurus kick and sending a titanic evil knight head over heels backwards, immediately after the rangers launch a space shuttle into his face? Yeah, this show is nutes in the best way.
But let me be clear, I said Zyuranger is better than Power Rangers- that doesn't mean I don't LIKE Power Rangers. It's fun and there is a suprising amount of exclusive content to it, including some great monsters like Pumpkin Rapper. But overall, Zyuranger does a lot more in the same length of time.
How many inches tall is this action figure?
Standing up straight it's about 6 inches.
I hope they make a line just like this for the games designs.
I'm right there with you! The game designs with this articulation would be insanely good!
It's a good looking figure its not perfect, but it's good! Once you take his jacket off he looks weird I hope they push his shoulder up just a little bit and I just noticed why all the male Action Force figure has that issue except the female action force
Yeah, the shoulders definitely throw off the silhouette a bit. I'm wondering if they'll update it in a future wave.
I'm thinking of getting him
I recommend it! The limited articulation is about the only real critique I have.
Hoho, great review as much as the toe articulation is weak I doesn’t bother me at all but yeah.Love Savage Crucible and can’t wait for the future waves to hit the shelves.Nice work homie 😃🤙
Thank you so much! I do love the idea with the toe articulation I just thought it was the issue keeping them from standing over time. I actually got a chance to speak with William Post at SGX and he mentioned that the real issue with the feet is a slight bubble on the bottom which happened during production due to the socket for the ankle peg. So apparently sanding the bottom of the feet a tiny bit is a fix for them. But at the end of the day I am real big fan of what Savage Crucible is doing! The articulation is so well thought out, the fact that they have customizers in mind, just the overall love they're putting into it is fantastic. They're only going to get better as they go forward so I'm right there with you being excited for what's to come!
I like Armaggon a lot. But he looks a little out of place in the TMNT universe. He would fit in perfectly in Street Sharks (I know, that cartoon premiered the year after Tournament Fighters was released on the Super Famicom, but still). Also, I'm glad that RUclips didn't mark this video as "Made For Kids," especially since TMNT action figures are marketed specifically for young boys.
I can definitely see that. TMNT wise I think he fits more with the comics than any other TMNT media. But he is right at home with Street Sharks as well! And I'm very much glad RUclips isn't doing that too. I have it set so any video I upload is specifically not labelled "Made For Kids" and the last thing I need is YT changing that without me seeing it haha.
