The island is actually not dirty, maybe the time of day you went. Tourist leave their trash but it's always cleaned up by morning. Isla Mujeres has one of the cleanest beaches in Mexico. I was there a few weeks ago and it was very clean every morning then tourist comes and trash it each day. Also, does not look as if you went to all the beaches there. The bathrooms, well it's a third world country. Not trying to be rude but saying the island is filled with trash is just not true. I am a tourist myself from the states and Isla Mujeres is always been one of our family favorite vacation islands to visit. Just a shame that you did not see the full island before saying those things.

So exciting! I’m literally catching the same red eye flight from SFO to Cancun in two weeks! Im just like you girl I can’t sleep on the flight at all too much adrenaline and fear of flying lol but I’ve been seeing this flight land and depart so many days now. Also I hope our hotel lets us have breakfast as long as we checked in early
