Here be lyin' a fine selection of mostly Nintendo shanties!
I do not own to any o' the shanties heard in these live performances. Sailin' and plunderin' fer shanties is quite a time-consumin' voyage fer me (especially if ye be takin on the S.S. Wii U and H.M.S. 3DS), but feel free to leave shanty requests or suggestions thru personal message in a bottle or thru carrier pigeon, and I'll see what aye can do!
Banner ARRtwork is from me favorite pirate pastime, "Tengami".
(All of the shanties are hauled in by a team of hard workin' pirates who have given the OK. Also, please keep yer requests to a minimum, or you'll be walkin' the plank!)

The Last Emperor - Asia belongs to us!
Просмотров 15 тыс.5 лет назад
We will take China, Hong Kong, Indo-China, Siam, Malaya, Singapore, and India!
Or so you think stupid Masahiko Amakasu (...the character portrayed here, by the late, and very charismatic Ryuichi Sakamoto. May God test your sould great Sensei)!
And them too 🙄
“ASIA BELONGS TO US!!!!! …….. For 3 months!”
When you think about it, Puyi has been a prisoner all of his life because of the status he had. He was a prisoner of the forbidden city. He was a puppet ruler for the empire of Japan. After which, he literally became a prisoner for war crimes. It is only when he finally became a commoner he found freedom and learned humanity
Siam at the time already changed name to Thailand
Nope, the Japanese invaded Manchuria in 1931 and ended two years later, I believe this took place before 1939, the same year Siam renamed itself to Thailand.
kind of expecting some ominous music at the end lol
Back for my swag check. The verdict? Just as swagged out as ever. Love the drip!
Hardest jap Glazer in history
Lol Japan so small yet delusional that they got humbled by the Soviet Union, Philippines and the US nukes.
Today, China and Japan are bitter enemies.
But the world belongs to Kpop now😂
huh?
As a Korean I disagree 😂😂 Kpop is an L for me
I remember how during all scenes with Manchukuo I felt so bad for Wanrong (the empress, Pu Yi's wife). This scene reminded me of it. She had a good heart and was surrounded by people with evil intentions. May she rest in peace
Certainly, we can pity Wan Rong as she may had suffered a lot of trauma over her life: living in the Forbidden City as an empress without power, with a sometimes close, later distant husband who is not even attracted to women, knowing that he might be SA her younger brother who was a kid at the time, but also dealing with depression in an old and dusty enviroment, daily surveiled by the eunuchs. And later on, hating japanese so deeply but being left without options but to play the role of "empress" after a number of failed escape attempts. However, is the way she dealt with everything what talks more about her, as she took in the worst ways: bullying Wen Xiu to the point that Wen Xiu tried many times to end her life --until she got the divorce-, addicted to spend and shopping first, later resorting to opium that ended up leaving her as a zombie in her final years. In any case, while I really feel sorry for Wan Rong, I do more for Tan Yuling (Noble Consort Mingxian) as she not only was subjected to similar circumstances but all in all, took care of Wan Rong and was somewhat appreciated by Puyi. And, anyways, she found a wretched end.
In their dream, and in the end the US occupied them and then make them their vassal.
Now the US is collapsing like the Soviet Union. Disintegrating in a chaos of racial confusion and vice.
Yes, yes Japan, everything belongs to you (said proudly)
Yeah, good luck with that sizzle chest.
The Japanese used that justification for war and expansion along with the BS claim that they were “saving” the Chinese from colonialism and imperialism. Ironic considering they were no better than the British or French.
Rest In Peace Ryuichi Sakamoto.
I just heard that he passed recently. He was actually still quite young relative to how old this movie was made.
Wow, didn't know he was the famous pianist.
I get what the character is doing, but why the anime-esque hand gesture at the end? Are gesticulations like that just part of the culture?
Or maybe it's just because he lost an arm already and he is enacting a no regrets policy with the remaining one
Japanese theatrics are just like that
Have you never seen a dictators speech from the early 20th century where they do those weird hand/arm gestures? Hitler did crap like that all the time.
Thats my favorite scene
Checking in for my daily swag check ;) he let his swag talk and that's why he got what he wanted!
Today I had a public event to go to and most people wore foolish clothes and hairstyles. I mean styles of many colors like you see today's hip hop stars wear and hair that was strange to me. I decided to dress like the people in this scene and carry myself with the same swag... AND IT WORKED! I was the life of the party and people commented on my tastes.
Great! Now onto the Mercedes SLK...
Did you assert dominance like in this scene?
not as Cultishly 'Worser' (if they were Real, Heh) like those helghanite Fanboys' (for a big Example) Preferences out there anyways.
I don't know why but I kinda laugh at that scene.
They had swag back then people don't carry themselves the same way today
It was an age when it was seen as perfectly okay to declare that "we are the master race" in public. Churchill thought much the same way about the Anglo-Saxon nations, with the British as first among equals (Americans, Canadians etc) but on a tier above everyone who wasn't Anglo, and the rightful masters of the world. He was quite open about that and it was very accepted. There's another great scene in the same film where a Japanese "advisor" is talking and joking about the arrogance of the British - "When an Englishman travels around the world and steals from other people, he is hailed at home as a hero. If he steals a lot, he may even be called a Lord!" - the lesson they are taking from that is, of course, "if these Brits are allowed to act like that then so can we!".
@@louise_rose What was the name of that movie? I remember that scene but can't remember which movie.
@@BlueCourtingBooks The Last Emperor, of course! (Pu Yi was formally the last Chinese emperor, but it's also the name of the film). Great movie, I saw it twice in the theatre and have it on DVD.
