There is one for sale close to where I live and I'm looking for videos to hear how it sounds and I haven't found many. Why's that? Didn't anybody buy this synth? is it that bad? Are they too lazy to make a video about it? From what little I have heard, it sounds pretty unique. Anyway, I'm between either this or an Ultranova..

I agree about the drum tracks. I'm using my SmplTrek in performance mode as a soundboard for my live streams. I wish I could make some of the samples longer. Anyway great work with the video and expansion pack.

Great stuff man. Impressive that you managed this without any reading, and you came up with something that sounds really good. That screen does worry me, though. Like Roland screens, seems too small for the job. Did you find yourself squinting it a lot? (Nice to find another MODX owner, too. Sold mine a while back, but a beast of a machine and a great sound source for something like this.)

I kind of like that there's no timestretching. On the Smpltrek it made me crazy not being able to turn off TS. Only on an instrument track it was possible to just pitch your drums without it. Thanks for the video. Especially the BAR-switch functionality.

Been watching this lil sampler since launch - not much real life reviews and opinions from beatmakers yet - as I see from your video there are some awkward implementations of a chop mode and other maybe yet unfinished functions ? Hopefully Sonicware will address or add/improve those issues with the firmware updates so this becomes a new “classic “ sampler for years to come . Keep sharing and groovin 🙌

There is a kind of release envelope in the drum kits, but its hidden off in the parameter editor. If i recall it also slides as an attack envelope to one side, and a release on the other, so you have to choose one or the other. A bit goofy for sure.

Actually you can load what ever sample you want at any frequency rate. The LoFi-12 XT will convert them automatically to 24kHz.

So I have the older version with compact flash. I haven't been able to find any cords to fit it except one from Amazon where it has a ton of different ends but it still didn't work. I got the enloops and taped them together just to make sure the device works. It does work but I'm a little confused because are they able to get charged through the device if I get the right cord? Also I noticed the white cord in the middle of the power cord going into the computer from battery is cut on mine and I don't know if it makes a difference. I was able to get the wire exposed and sort of cram it in there and it still didn't charge so it's either the wrong cord or it didn't make a good enough connection or maybe this version is not able to charge through the device? I'm debating getting a little external battery holder and just cutting a notch in the case and gluing it to the side of the machine and then they could get easily removed to get recharged in a battery recharger...
