I was able to get five dozen at Costco in SoCal a few days ago for $18.99. Decent price all things considered but they cost $11.99 for 60 eggs before the shortage.

Where are you shopping? We shop at Giant food stores here in Pennsylvania and we don't pay more than $6 for a dozen

We get our eggs from our farmer friend 3 dollars a dozen just yesterday

Eggs are going up again and . At my local king sooper they were out of them

I go to sams club and get 18 eggs for $5 i thought that was crazy 😢 i used to have 35 chickens and people would come over and pay me $2.50 and they would flip over my price but i did the math per chicken per eggs they laid per year with the cost of feed and water i fed my chickens the leftovers from my farm garden worms bugs i grew and duck weed and in winter i would feed layena just a scoop to make sure they didnt stop producing i did a crushed egg shells for extra calcium along with oyster shells i crushed which i used to grow over 12 miles out so the oyster shells i would do a gas analysis to cover costs i had a entire farm in a city it was amazing i got hit by a car and had to relearn to walk and talk again took me 5 yrs to be able to stand on my own 7 yrs to get where i am today i miss my 3 goats i milked 2 times a day my 40 quail 35 chickens 4 ducks a 275gallon container of worms 85 boxes of bees with up to 3 supers each which is 100 pounds per box flemish giant rabbits white grey tan they would have 30 babys a month each female, grown to 8months to eat and tan the hide or take to market to sell at $30 each, and grew veggies fruit all over on roof walls entire footprint of property along with pool filled with over 200 tilapia which was cleaned and filtered by the plants in a circle system all ran by micro dosers tech that checked water quality rigged and code written by me to make sure right stuff with organic materials good or fish to live in pool is 15ft by 12ft from 4ft shelf for rice patty to 8ft deep for fish to hide, all ran by solar power pumps and heaters that ran along roofs that didnt have plants had a shelter above hives and over garage all done in end of 90s and 2000s back before all that stuff was known had to invent so much of my system got cleaned everyday the manuer was composted and made to sell grow mushrooms luckily living in a city i had access to free coffee grounds pine needles and the landscaper down the street would give me all the tree cuts i wanted i would make sure the right kind and would grind myself to make mushroom bags it was a amazing system i miss it so much gave me a income of $250,000 a year and happiness and gave me the feeling of accomplishment i was able to be a stay home mom feed my family very well from our home we live on the water so i had shrimping crabing fishing along with our back yard fishing which our kids loved i grew crayfish and taught so many my yard it was so pretty that people would ask to pay to come have dinner with us i had a beautiful dinning outside kitchen the mayor would come and ask me to do classes to the community gave me free lots to do community gardens which i ran for others to enjoy my life i miss it so much what i would give to do it again but my family sold off everything while i was in icu my green house everything every animal my dog would go hunt for sweet potaotes and dig them up and bring them in on comand she while i was in icu had dug up entire garden had a pile by the front door when i came home the kids had hid her and brought her in she was a lemon hunting beagle i miss her she became sick when i became disabeld and never left my side she would coral 60 hogs and round them in to our trap and chase a buck to me she was so good bring in a duck every chance she got she was a fisher as well she passed away on my husband lap after i came home from a bad surgery at age 20 i miss her so much she was my sons sister belived she was human she understood us for sure i miss everthing i did

I did a TikTok last week when a dozen eggs were around $7 and then I went into my grocery store yesterday and they jacked up Even more Glad I got a chicken I think it's just going to keep getting worse supposed to be because of bird flu
