I'm a Dash 8 F/O in Manitoba, Canada. What checklist system is that you guys have on the dashboard there?

It's extremely dark out there when you have no reference. Nice landing though.
How many years ago did Ansett go under?
@@lonixlon It was back in 2001, and this sim centre is a subsidiary of Ansett now privately owned.

@@samspade8612 By spinning the propellers, you can generate the electricity required to heat the de-ice boots on the propellers.

In all my times flying to Cairns, dozens, I've never arrived on 33. Every single time it has been on 15. On a side note, pretty sure I sat next to you on a Qantas TVL-CNS flight last year and shared a chat for the journey. From memory you were flying in to handle a CNS-KWM flight at the time.
@@oz3278 Yes, the 33 approach doesn’t happen very often, so I wanted to capture the moment. Sorry, I can’t recall the flight from TVL-CNS but it wouldn’t surprise me if it was me. I have flown to KWM many times too. Thanks for watching!

Preflight test. Both Capt & Copilot systems must be checked every 24 hours.
I've been following your channel for about 12 months and I met you father a couple of months ago at Clifton. A bloody lovely bloke. He flew in in the Europa. I only realised the connection with him and this channel when I noticed the tape on the cowling!!!

As an ex-Air Force avionics technician this was always so helpful to see. I had an F-18 pilot that recorded a fluctuating fuel flow problem in flight to help with our fault finding.

Incidentally, the An-124 is one of the only freighter capable of transporting the massive GE90-115B which is used to power the current generation Boeing 777-300ER, -200LR, and 200F. The GE90 is too big, even for the 747 unless it’s dismantled.

Antonov An-124. Commonly used across the world. Biggest operator is Volga Dneper, though this roughly appears to be Antonov Design Bureau, going by the livery.
