God bless you David!! After 2 years the band was tearing and I used day glo green gaff tape to keep it together 😂kinda like the nose tape on glasses. I knew the arrows on the band meant something I used a push pin but not pliers . Thanks for the tip now I can put a band on my favorite watch I 1:16 1:16 bought on clearance!! Stay blessed🙏🏽

Casio owners gathering hahah. Mine cost me about 10€ and I've had it for years, working at a powerplant, I've subjected it to diesel, petrol, sludge, dirt, ocean water, scraping, bumps, and it still works like a charm. Also works on a F-84w, you gotta push in the same direction to remove the pin even though it shows two arrows on the strap (left and right)

Great video! Had the watch years and the strap broke, just replaced it with a nato style strap. Tool wise - I used a corn on the cob holder. Worked perfect

I cant get it to work. Every paper clip just breaks and now my case is ruined. They made it really difficult to replace the strap.

I tried to do this tonight, pushing in the direction of the arrow. I used a push pin, safety pin, sewing pin, large and small sized paper clips, sim card remover, entomology pin. I tried grabbing it with pliers and pushing with all my might. I couldn't get the rod out. So, I gave up and just decided to wear it with the original strap. I figure the watch is so cheap that it's not worth buying whatever the tool is for that.

Now I have to go find copper pipe and 5mm plastic strip 😂😂 help!

Hello! Thanks for the video, it's really helpful! I used the tool that comes with a cellphone to open the sim tray, it works too! I wonder if after 8 years that you published this video your watch still have the same battery, they told me that it lasted for about 10 years?

Thanks for this explanation. It's unfortunate that eight years after you made this, it's hard to find cheap Casio-compatible bands on eBay, the market seemingly dominated by bands for smart watches. Amazon has a few, but they're $10 - 12, and at that point you might as well buy a whole new watch. Sad.

But then do you pour water over it?
