Yes, it was mostly very smooth, but some pockets of turbulence. I think most of the turbulence was over built up areas and roads due to the heat difference.

@@MattBrasierFlying Yeah, that makes sense to me. And they weren't all that high built. Amazing what some roads, and rooftops can do to the air above. :)

That is a great suggestion. I have a night rating but at the moment the airport is closing early due to a lack of controllers. I will see if I can get a video of a night flight done in the winter when it's dark.

I was very lucky that the nicest weather we have had in the last month coincided with an afternoon where I could get out of the office for a few hours.

Never had a problem with it, they are club aircraft and the club policy is full rich on the ground. All the aircraft are doing a lot of hours and get new plugs (and engines) regularly. If it was my aircraft I would consider lean mixture on the ground, but as it's not I follow the owners policy.

Approximately 2500 for most of it (there is class D at 4500 above, and 3500 to the west for part of the route). I climbed to 3200 for a short section to avoid a small area of temporary restricted airspace, but also flew around it.

I have briefly looked into it, but I am not comfortable recording ATC or other pilots conversations without their permission so I would want to find a way to just have my parts of the conversation.

@@MattBrasierFlying Ah, ok. I've been watching Aviation101's content which is rammed with his and ATC's audio, though I think he does edit out other pilots' coms. Wasn't sure how the rules and laws worked in that regard for your country. No worries. Still enjoying all the wonderful vistas. :)

😄 At least in a 172 once it's closed and locked your fairly sure it won't open again in flight, unlike a dodgy door in a 152.

I finished my ppl last year and Wolverhampton was one of the airports on my QXC. I hope to get back there soon (I was hoping to go there last week but weather didn't cooperate) but it's a little harder to get the time to do a land away during my lunch break.

Thanks for your feedback. Unfortunately with time-lapse videos the original audio cannot be used (it gets very bad when sped up 30x) and so the options are music or silence. I chose music because you can easily mute it if you want silence. If you have suggestions for other genres or tracks you would like to hear as a soundtrack then please let me know.
