    These videos are way too short. Just saying. You rambled on for 3 minutes straight, leaving people out cold. Please stop doing that. Here I thought I was going to learn something, but didn't because all I heard was analysis, analysis, analysis. We all appreciate you creating these videos sop people can learn, but the way you are going about it, and making them extremely short, is kinda evil.

    There's good information here, and I enjoyed watching a few of these. But if I could offer a suggestion, it would be great if you could play the intervals as you annotate them, so my ears can understand as well as my eyes. Music is as much auditory as it is visual, maybe even moreso. 😊

    I commend you on this course! I'd really like to follow this theory course, but the order of the videos is a bit jumbled and now im lost as to which to view next. Nonetheless, I subbed with the hopes that more order can be given to these excellent bite-sized lessons.

    Hey, isn't this jus the same as modal interchange with G Mixolidian? I like to see it from a different perspective but isn't it simpler to explain with mixolidian?

    • @JAnthonyAllen
      @JAnthonyAllen Месяц назад

      Yes! Great point. The reason I like to explain it this way is only because in the context of this whole class, we haven't done much with modes yet. So it is easier to understand it this way, then we will look at it again once we have modes under our belt.

    Root 53 why do we use figured bass on so many tests? And more figured bass on advanced tests? 53 is redundant. What is the practical application of figured bass? We learn inversions - music uses C/E = C Major with E in the bass. Why not teach this and use this approach in testing more often?

    Nice stuff! If I could make a humble recommendation, it would be nice to have a "what you will learn" mention at the beginning. This feels a continuation from a previous video, but this is the first video I've ever seen from your channel. How many breadcrumbs do I need to follow to go back to the beginning of this lecture? Where are you going with this video? Those kinds of things are being asked by the audience. Not sure if this feedback is helpful, but thinking of videos like chapters instead of paragraphs would make it easy for us to follow and know what's up. Oh, and "College Music Theory Lesson" is pretty vague. "The Half Cadence: Part #" would be a good candidate. Oh, and if it IS a continuation, a small "So what we already saw was..." would help, too. Just my two cents to help, if it helps! Keep it up! Would love to use these videos in a homeschool curriculum.

    Why is an A dissonant? We are in the key of D and A if the 5th. I thought the dissonant was going to be the E to teh C#,
