You cannot proc the bolt with rapid fire. So many people don’t know this. Elemental band is useless when you’re at empower cap 95% of the time. Id rather have the flat 7% from lightning damage and add a flat damage perk like invig punish vs keen awareness.

definitely can choose alot of different routs on the rapier! sounds like a high burst counter attack!

@@Shoutyboy91 you didn't go over the chest or the gloves. I also had to turn the playback speed to .25x to see the helmet spec. Very informative video but he wasn't wrong on trying to learn the build. im assuming you just go for obviously lightning harnessing, enchanted ward and slash or thrust conditioning.

@ chest piece if running attuned pants will be a light piece with any of the following perks I mentioned. Lightning harness , enchanted ward , ele averaion , thrust/ slash / flame conditioning, health, any of those work. The helm for featherweight will want to run a heavy piece of frigid dawn. Throw a 3rd perk on it.

you hit empower cap with 10% from lightning harness, 10% from runeglass, 7.1% ring, 7% honing stone, 15% from evasive tactics in the skill tree.

@@Shoutyboy91 Why does some pips says its not worth to go 150 int on boltcaster rather go full dex + con with 25 str i have tested this and in fact 150 int deals more dmg on light and heavy attacks i just dont understand why majority of bow users thinks its not worth it btw thanks for answer my first question ez sub mate

@@albinouwak4363 Appreciate you sir! i believe it scales better in junction with the 350dex . youll start to see diminishing returns the more dex you pump so dumping into the int tree while running an elemental damage build helps out with additional damage! running 25str for those quick light attacks is definitely viable as well!

Dex is most damage as dex adds base damage to the bow which all abilities are based off of and your heavy attacks are based off of. You’ll get more damage for abilities etc from dex scaling, and with 50 str and dex will have the best heavy and light attack dmg.

@ 50 str bonus doesn’t apply to bow because in the game text a bow heavy attack is listed as a drawback. You don’t get the bonus from 50 str but you do get the 25. It’s pretty dumb but that’s just how it is. It should count but it doesn’t as far as last time I tested it. 350dex 150 Int 150 con with attuned pants is by far the most damage build in the game right now with boltcaster. Not only are you getting max damage from dex but you’re getting to dip into Int as a damage bonus. The diminishing returns on over 350dex isn’t worth going more

ive played spear with bow, fun secondary, i do believe youll have more mobility with rapier, i used to play spear and hit people with a jav toss.. if you land it , it guarantees a free explosive arrow. end of the day play what you enjoy and if you are better with spear, play the spear over rapier or hatchet ect.

I love the original bow/spear from launch but unfortunately with the currently hatchet meta it isn’t as good. The mobility on rapier is just so much better. I even tried a bit more utility with cyclone on my spear for the heal but it still feels meh compared to rapier

@MrCthom25 yeah I ran thr cyclone perk heal as well, it feels gutted sadly. Suppose only option is Boltcaster Rapier until I get gorgon bow to run lifetaker meta with ele band..

That armor has been nerfed into the ground a few times, id either play attuned pants or featherweight overall better options.... although youre definitely able to still play it.. i think the other 2 options are more viable in the current state of the game.

make sure youre running attuned pants. and your gear is Dex/con based.. you wanna get to 102 con total. ( 48 con food to hit 150 ) the rest go into the other areas 350dex 150 int.

fun fact, rapid shot is great, but it doesnt add stacks to bolt with each hit! try it out!

most likely not, this is catered to PVP, if you wanna run pve bow id recommend running rapid shot with the bottom passive to get unlimited resets on the skill. bow isnt the greatest for m3's imo

The only passive in the bow tree that gives "empower" will be evasive tactics (15 %) the bonuses youre referring to in the skill tree are "base damage" multipliers. they are 2 different damage buckets. all of those are located on the right side part of the tree. therefor harnessing is needed to hit 50% "empower" cap. while you can hit a total of 55% base damage boneses. (seperate bucket).
