Your wheel spacing modification is a definite improvement on the models look. Lucky I have not started my wrecker yet. Currently doing the AMT Kenworth Alaskan Hauler. I will definitely be picking up some 5/16" tubing this week.
Hi, I saw your comment where you said an ex-coworker printed these for you. Any chance you can tell me the material it was printed with (PLA, PETG)? Also, what did you do to polish them clear?
Man, that truck is really looking great! I can't wait to see the finished product. BTW, I think the fire extinguishers would look better on the back. Up high on the sides might be a bit more difficult for the fire fighters to access them. I realize it's not a full-size pumper, but "up high" just seems more awkward.
I've built a couple of those Monacos but never as a police car. My go-to is to swap wheels with the Dodge van kit to have correct(ish) work-truck steelies and dog dishes on the van and deluxe full wheel covers on the sedan.
Starting to look great David, and we enjoyed your country side location videos 📹 very cool, some looked like I'd seen in some westerns ❤ Cheers 🍻🍻KC 🇦🇺🤝🇺🇸🦘🏔❄️🌨🍻🍻
She’s starting to take shape David. I know when it’s done it’ll look like it’s ready to run calls. Lol. Definitely takes me back to when I first started with the fire department for sure. Thanks for the great videos man. Keep up the great work. Bruce in Wv!!!
Hi David, that truck is looking absolutely outstanding, it certainly would be a show stopper if you entered it for judging, nowvwhat is more important, pool time or modelling time? Here in Melbourne Australia we are just at the start of winter, I think are looking at a high of 14°C today, best regards from Australia, Les
Looking great Dave. Can't tell if you built another Front Mount Pump, or if you built a winch for the front bumper, but either way, it's awesome. I would love to see you take on building a "Stump Jumper" Brush Truck out of a 6X6 Deuce & Half Military Truck.
David, Sounds like you had a good time at your brother's. Always great to visit hobby shops on other parts of the country. More good kits to work on. Cab Overs are sometimes a handful. Look forward to your semi builds!🚛And Tim makes great kits!!!👍👍👍

Flannel sheets i buy at 2nd hand store are best for this process
Nice job Dave looks great
Convincing headlight result vs old style molded in lenses. Can recommend a supply source for the costume jewels & blue lense caps. Thank you.
I purchase these jewels at Hobby Lobby.

I have since retired and am no longer in contact with this co worker, sorry.

Can't fault you for taking pool time. The mini pumper is progressing nicely.

This one is going to be just freaking awesome (again). Yes, the single dome light fits very well.🤩

That's a lot of melted snow David. Hopefully there was no flooding.
Looks like quite the fruitful trip! The Lego bricks stores are a blast! I allow my kids to go there once a month to spend their allowance 😆
