I don't know how these ratings are determined, but there's a lot to consider. The most important factor is the kinetics of the mannequins. I don't know about Mazda, but Volvo has a lot of hidden technology (such as within the seats, harness and even center console) minimizing the forces transferred to the mannequins. There's more to it than who uses heavier steel. I think these crash tests are outdated.

It deserves A 3 stars look how the dummy hit the airbag so fast ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Toyota Ist and Toyota Celsior, actually. If I had to guess the testing period, it would probably be late 2000 to mid 2001. Third generation Celsior AKA Lexus LS430 would be a year old by then, and the Ist AKA Scion xA wouldn't be out until spring of the following year. 2004 would then mark the launch of the Scion brand in North America, with the xA included in the launch lineup.

Oh the wonderful egg. Little known history. A Wisconsin court sue the Chrysler Corp due to the fact a k car derivative rolled over in the roof didn't hold. The court said they should have designed the car to support a rollover. Chrysler's response was to do that a car design would look like an egg and possibly not sell. But looking at the Chrysler Sirius Stratus cars and the Chrysler Town & country Dodge caravan you can definitely see the egg shape in their cars. Some of that is the cab forward construction. That packed a lot of room in a small space. I owned three of the eggs. The neon Cirrus and the Town & country I'm over 62 and I fell in all of them fairly comfortable. Not that I was a fan of Chrysler you could buy them affordable 8 used. Town & country came fairly well equipped Chrysler they want you to believe it's their version of the Cadillac. But you got genuine pleather a really nice sound system with a DVD player. That you could watch movies in surround sound. They had respectable power with the 3.8 and was kind of sporty ride with the semi-firm shocks and the 16 inch chrome rims. You could afford to drive it it had decent gas mileage. Better to say than a suburban or a Tahoe. There was even an option all-wheel drive one. I think this was a stylish van for the time it just doesn't get much respect.
