太棒了!from TW
Hi Mr. Pete. I'm a jazz, blues, bluegrass and rockabilly player, Tnx for your videos, I think that they are really well done, and very useful, Keep on the great sound and swing!
Interesting! I have been watching every RUclips I can find on Improvisation for my violin playing because I just get nowhere with my violin. After 10 yrs of playing I still will not play for anybody and my playing still sounds grouchy. If only I can make joyful noises with the worship team in our church, I will be over the moon with joy. To be without a hands-on violin teacher here in the sticks of Saskatchewan, is not easy!
Those are called arpeggios
....what pick-up do you use?
Way to fast in your instruction. not everyone can play as fast as you. If you want to teach, learn how to teach. Just a thought.
Cultură muzicală .....
Asta, da !
Good
*So you can slap an upright*
Ha did learn this back in 2006, while listening to psychobilly bands. I called it finger gallopping.
Hi- what is the name of the tune you are using in this clip?
Laura Leach he says in the clip, Petunia or The Petunia
@@Fiddlequick At 1:40 he refers to it as "The Crooked Stovepipe". That's the title I know.
Davie504 played this!
what is song the intro???
Use the settings icon to knock it down to half or .25 speed to see what is going on.....Thanks RUclips!
really great lessons! like to thank Mr Turland!!Is he still giging round The 'Couve? Johnny Hatton's book is really good as well

He turned me on 2 Willie w/ Slim in Paris and i feel every building block -Technique for Slap Back is Here! although haven't checked out Spaz's new book, he's a Motha & fine Teacher ( Setzer's Band)
Great instructional !
amazing great talent
Nice
that betty boop sticker is so bad ass
brilliant
hi, i'll start with the double bass and it has a steel strings. Can i play rockabilly or slap with this kind of strings o i must buy another set i'm spanish, my english is not good thanks
Well steel strings is pretty good for slapping but u can get a lot of blood blisters or calluses with it if yah something good for slapping with a good price u can grab some innovation or nylon strings there much better than steel and it can prevent blood blister or calluses which is really painful but if yah want something perfect strings for slapping you can buy a weedwhacker pro gut strings but thing is gut strings are pwetty expensive u can get a set of this strings for about 350-400 bucks but it's really great for slapping ^^
thanks. my uprighbass is now "configurated" for play classical. in the future i'll buy another kind of strings and i'll start with the slap. thanks. i'm from spain, if my english isn't well forgive me :)
Ah no need to be sorry^^ and good luck then^^
low tension steels are good for slapping but guts are best (expensive) but good and not so hard on your neck as steels can create grooves on your neck. One of the reasons I switched from steel to nylon then eventually to gut.
Congratulations from argentine rockabillers!!!!
wow great video
Great tutorial, and the angle of your hand is different than many others, and has really helped me with quick triplets. One comment though, at about 2:00, where you describe the slow motion as "pull-palm-slap-pull-----pull-palm-slap-pull....." I think at full speed it was more like "pull-palm-slap---pull-palm-slap--pull-palm-slap...." although I had to re-play it multiple times and I'm still not positive. Great Vid.
