Backyard House Wrens Feeding
This video is of an adult house wren feeding young chicks, first bringing food (an insect), then feeding the front and then the further back chicks, and finally exiting with a white glob of poop cleaned from the next. House wrens are very clean birds. This 56 second slow motion video is composed from 253 still images, stretching out an event that lasted on 8 seconds so that it can be viewed in more detail.

This video highlights some favorite sightings on our November 2023 Botswana safari hosted by Elephant Trails. My goal was to create a 10 minute highlight video, extremely challenging given the number of great sightings we had, that shows some representative stills and videos of the many animals experienced, including a few sequences attempting to tell a story. This video features a mother lion and 3 very young cubs encountered on Nov. 11, 2023 in a morning game drive from our Xakanaxa camp in Moremi. While frequently nursing the cubs and keeping them close, she also had to guard a nearby kill (not shown) which she would feed on at times, and chase away the vultures, as shown in the last frame.
