It actually will but there’s a way you can fix that. Since I used a larger hook it made all the stitches really loose even though I kept my normal tension on the hook. If you are going to use the smaller hook, you can just make all of your stitches really loose by using low tension. It’s a bit hard to explain with words though. If you followed the pattern as it’s written with your hook it will still look similar, just less loose and flowy

@rosavision3D is right! If you were looking for this exact piece though you actually can still follow this pattern just keep in mind all of you stitches will need to be multiplied. For example, if you switch to a weight 4 yarn and a 6 mm hook, you might need 9 rows of the hood increases. Let me know if that makes sense!!

Hello thank you so much I really appreciate it💕💕 So what I would do to shorten the straps is to flip it over itself, so like a little stack, and then sew it back down. Basically just folding it over itself until you make it as short as you want. If you what a little video please let me know!

Thank you so much!! The basic idea for what you need to make it is a bunch of rectangular panels that you sew together. So for example, the main body piece is one chain that is the height of the shirt. I then add ribbed half double crochets until I make a rectangle long enough to go around my torso. The arms are done the same way, and so is the off the shoulder part. I then sewed it all together and added ruffles to the top! I think the yarn is a caron cake but I have no idea anymore it’s been so long. If you want I can send you more directions on instagram!

Hello and thank you for the compliment ! That’s such a cute idea🥰 To add more rows, you’re simply going to keep following the pattern as you go up in rows. For example, to make our first row we do 2 dc before the point, then your increase, then 2 more dc. For the next rows I explain you would use 4 dc in place of the 2, and go up in even numbers for every new row. So basically just keep following the steps adding 2 more dc to those spots as you go!

Hey! I would assume you made a few too many dc in the beginning row. If you can go back and count make sure you have 20 dc in that starting magic ring

OMG that exact thing happened to me when I first was creating this pattern! If I remember correctly it was because I wasn't slip stitching back into the star correctly at the start. I would recommend going back to the steps in the beginning where I showed you how to make the points, and then again to the spot in the video in between points where you skip some of the dc! Let me know if you need help!

I’ve had similar issues with the magic ring too, if you need me to send you a slower video I can! Another option is to make a chain ring. Those are a little less tight than a magic ring, but you simply chain 4, then slip stitch into the first chain. Chain 1 and you will have a made a really tiny ring! You won’t have to pull on anything to tighten since it doesn’t function that way, but it’s very similar to the magic ring
