    There are imprinted arrows on the body to show where to place a jack (although it may only be for the stock jack from the trunk). I barely noticed it as I went to jack up the vehicle. Doing rotors and pads all the way around but after taking off the first wheel noticed I needed to replace parking brakes too. Not only were the parking brake pads separated from the bracket, but one was split in half 😬

      The aftermarket seats are more universal, so some cars would require the higher bracket to clear bumps in the floor., but that is sold separately. • @DoItMyselfGarage
      @DoItMyselfGarage Месяц назад

      @@unicornsteaks6769 It cools extremely well even with the transmission cooler built in. IMO mechanical fans are the way to go for reliability and air flow. I'm not sure about the later water pumps, but having a good pump that flows well and doesn't cavitate is important also. Fan shrouds in place also are very important. The bottom seal is a flapper. That weight is not "just a weight" it needs to have the nub pointing up. When you raise the handle to the highest position piston goes down and it kicks up the flapper by kicking the nub to allow the pump to drain. Think cold weather but still to early to remove the pump for winter. I set a cement block on end to keep the handle up and drained in early winter because it is just above grade on a drilled well case. When winter is coming I just remove the pump because a frozen seal will rip as soon as you make the first pump. Lukewarm water will thaw it but never hot water. You'll crack the pump. Edit: When you pump, don't raise the handle up high each time. You're just kicking open the bottom seal each time losing a little water and unnecessary wear on the flapper seal.

    I found it easier to remove the fuse box up top and also just the motor mount bushing up top to get the top bolts to the water pump and then remove the tire to get the lower bolts. I had it out and back in no more then hour n half. Also remove the 2 nuts that hold the ac line brackets for the lines up top to squeeze the water pump out from up top. And remove the 2 nuts for the power steering reservoir and bump that to the side to give you more room. Makes the job a little easier. Just use some power tools and makes the job go quick.

    i'm at the tail end of putting this together. it definitely is a lot of work. i also had to prep my backyard to work on it as well and unfortunately i'm finishing it off during the middle of summer. but it's almost done so i'm really happy to see it come along. i would recommend making sure it's level before beginning but it looks pretty good where he has it.

      Yeah, I wish I had leveled my area just a bit more. It is holding up fine so far, but having it as level as possible is the best approach.

    I just picked up one of these as well. Mine's a '93 and is in unbelievable shape. No rust. I'm just missing the strap that holds in the mulching block. Waiting on a belt and oil filters.

      Mine has been a good mower so far. I've had it about 7 years now. I don't like the 3 blades side discharge. Let me know how the mulching goes because that is something I would like to try.
