Ernie and I were going to Idaho in a month. My other two riders can't go. So next year I plan to do the Idaho ride. Even if I have to do it by myself. I'm hoping I can find others that would be interested in such a ride. More that comes along the better. If you know anyone that would love to go with us let me know. Ernie was great but he would tell me you stilll need to go.

Thank you for your thought. I have another camera on the trunk that I use a GoPro remote. So, I see a flashing light knowing it is recording. The other camera facing me attached on the handlebars I can see counting. So, I know when they are recording. My only dilemma for the camera on my helmet. I have it set up to quick capture so all I have to do is hit the record button. But for some unforeseen reason when you hit the button it comes on and sometimes cycles right back off. Missing cool video. The camera to be honest with you doesn't really take away from my line of sight. I can look over the top of it. So now I can see thank goodness I'm near sighted. the Gopro screen and the red flashing light to ensure it is recording. The improvement to the camera not cycling off don't use a sd card more than twice for the helmet. It's ok for the other cameras because as the sd card gets older you have audio dead spots up don't see until it's time to edit. I updated my helmet also where the audio feed from my pactalk goes directly to my gopro with clearer communication. Before I had a mic next to my speaker to pick up the communication. Anyway, thanks for your thoughts. Always trying to improve my videos each time I put one out. I hope my improvements to my video makes it more interesting to the viewer plus showing maps of my route

I'm totally with you. Sometimes when you are in a group and you tell them. Let's pull over and let the others by. I did that on numerous occasions as you seen in my video. When we got to the end of the tail of the dragon. The ass chewing you didn't see. I got into his ass about his attitude. This is the second group that I am strongly considering dropping and moving on to another group or maybe it is time for me to ride alone. Thank you for your comments. I try to build a great channel and if others don't tow the line. They are gone.

Thanks for your thoughts. He is a good friend. But sometimes you have to let good friends learn some hard lessons. Another part of our ride. He was passing an 18 wheeler on the right. Something you never do. I told him the light on the middle of the trailer flashing you might want to back off. Then he says, this is my road. Seconds later you could hear thru the pack talk his tire on the that part that makes noise when you are going off the lane. If anything my video teaches. When someone is doing something stupid all you can do is pull back and watch the outcome. I was on an Arizona ride where my lead switched lanes between two 18 wheelers. That's the down fall riding in groups. Your going to have that one that doesn't follow safety. Thanks for your comments.

I live 140 miles from the Dragon in East Tn. Have ridden it many times. Late in the afternoon and early mornings are the best time to ride it because the traffic is lighter. Those pull offs were paved a few years ago to keep from holding up faster drivers and riders. They will pass you which causes a dangerous situation for you and them. Glad you enjoyed your ride through there.

You could see by our video that the passing did just happen. Our lead although I did not capture it on video. Almost had a head on with a crotch rocket. Of course we knew what we were getting ourselves into when we went. One of the store owner said there is at least one wreck every day.

    • @milemarkermike7234

I reminded my friends to pull over. I believe in enjoying myself. But I also respect other riders for wanting to enjoy their ride. Sometimes it makes me to want to ride by myself. Same with the guys I rode with last year. The Grand Canyon had that look out walk out. I told those guys lets go this way and check it out. They said! Let's keep going. I thought to myself. What the hell! Before you go on a ride with a group. Be sure you have your come to Jesus conversation before the ride. Needless to say I don't ride with them anymore with the guys I went to Arizona with. They did the unspoken rule. Never speed on out and leave your team behind. When they got out of sight I called them is there any other plans or are we going to the camp sight. They said going to the camp sight. I got there only to find out they changed their minds and went to dinner. They had the ability thru the pack talk to call when they did change their minds.

I had an FJR 1300 before getting my Goldwing. I had it on my FJR to block more of the wind. This item cost me $124.00 so when I got my wing I did not want to throw it away. My Goldwing has a tall windshield. I'm 6'4" so I still experience some wind buffeting on my helmet. I added this to the top of my windshield took the remaining buffeting away. Not only that. On hot days you can rotate it aft and it scoops air down on my torso to keep me cool. Great win win. Thanks for your comment. Next video on our elevan day ride will be taking in the roads of Alabama. As we make our way to Nashville. Then on back home.

I had the packtalk black for a year before I really got to use the communication part of it. And it happened to be on this 3,500 mile tour that I realized the mic solftware would not allow more than a whisper to my colleques when I would try and communicate with them. Went to cycle gear to see what they could come with what was the problem. They noticed I keep the unit updated so it wasn't my fault. There was some issue with the black so they let me upgrade to the edge for the cost difference. Hands down the edge is where it's at. Chattanooga is beautiful. If you don't ride a motorcycle you can still take your car to see all the craziness that we seen. Thanks for taking the time to share your comments.

    • @milemarkermike7234

Thanks for your thoughts. I had a pack talk black and my team had pack talk edge. Some reason I had a defective unit. Sucks that I didn't find that out until we got on one of the coolest rides. Hats off to cycle gear. They took my black back and I only had to pay the difference for the edge. Make sure you go on a few rides with friends to make sure all communication is working properly. There were moments when I thought this ride vide was going to be flushed down the toilet. I some what got lucky and at least the speakers were working.

Hey so how do you like the wind extension on your windshield. Douse it work good. I have a goldwing 2006 trike also from Wichita

    • @milemarkermike7234
      @milemarkermike7234 Год назад

Good you ask! Before I got the 2006 Goldwing I had a 2010 FJR. The windshield didn't go high enough to reduce helmet/wind buffeting on my helmet. I paid a $100.00 for it. Then I sold the FJR and got the goldwing because the FJR isn't up to the task of long distance rides. So I put the extension on my goldwing. One day it was really hot. I thought! I wonder if I rotated this to scoop air down on me. And low and behold it scooped a lot of air. Helping keep me cool. Plus I'm 6'4" and continues to help in the wind buffeting protection. And I have the tallest windshield made for my wing. Good question!!! The other purchase that has made my rides quite comfortable is the wild ass seat cushion. You can adjust the air to your liking. I no longer have to stop every 60 miles. I can go tank of gas to tank. Share your adventures with me and places you go so I too can discover new places to go.

Man seems like its getting pretty bad over there. That is why I am taking a job in government health care. Seems like that the only solid choice in today's economy. Two things that will be the last to go is government and healthcare. Sad thing is people were more worried about Trump's rude tweets more than the possibility of this recession happening. Trump predicted $7.00 gas if democrats were elected and he was right. Biden's handlers need to do something quick. I have a feeling it's just going to get worse before it gets better.

Thanks! I now use Artlist for the music!! If I have a certain portion of video that I need a song to match Artlist makes it so easy! But! It costs $129.00 per year! But it has been really worth it!

Al told me the cool thing about these videos! Is it draws history about what happened in my life!

If you look at my South Dakota ride you will see I have come along way. There are a lot of other vlogs you can get ideas from!

I'm constantly learning to do it better. I watch other motorcycle vloggers and learn from that. I also updated computers. Got a gaming computer for better transference of video. I have three gopro's 7/8. I use Movavi Suite 2022 for editing. And Artlist for my music. Sorry I'm late getting back with you. Just learning how to do the replies.
