❗️💯💯💯💯💯❗️ One of the highlights of my H.S. days: Songs From The Wood. They make you feel much better!!
nul!? désolé mais ouff mais pas capable!
thanks for posting
Martin squeezes the most incredible sounds out of an electric guitar!
All these comments about how great Tull "was" in the past tense. Tull has two beautiful albums in the past 2 years, and another scheded for 2025. Can't wait.
Really? That's awesome..
First Tull album I ever heard, still holds up. Spring of 71 No one moves on the stage like Ian.
Such a great song, but the band seems bored.
Magical
I agree. Possibly the best of the outtakes. A great 90's version on the 25th Anniversary package.
Poetry with real words...understandable...music played by shear talent ...for real ...to its finest...no artifice...nor help by artificial aid...mind you...these were the times...
Ian Anderson is a great, great guitar player Fantastic song writer
Unfortunately, I was too young to see this, my favourite line up and my favourite era of Tull. I discovered them in 1979 and didn't get to see a concert until 1982.
I wasn’t - this was indeed “my” era of Tull; grew up with older siblings so this was performed at one of the first live concerts I ever attended … 😀😀
@@1ihws that's excellent, you were very lucky to see this line up playing live!
Ian is the greatest all around rocker ever IMHO!
Songs from the woods one of the best tull albums!
Incredible musicians
Un grand monsieur incomparable
Ian Anderson is truly talented and gifted musician and singer.....coupled with the rest of Jethro Tull...that music instills in me a sense of wonder, grace, beauty and passion. I adore Jethro Tull....I always have and I always will. They remain my truest pleasure. ♥️
my god 🙏 they have pimpped this up somewhat I have the ep box set ❤
Wow so beautiful.
Jack-A-Lynn...one of my all-time favourites
Magic band
Beautiful
Whether you like or don't like Jethro Tull, they're one of the few bands that never sold out, produced quality music. Much to be respected in the music world
Cheers guys, you'll go far. :-)))
Master of the bridge
Barre on fruit , haha some band
Genius of all time ever
Simply genius. No-one has ever written songs as poetic, unusual, and unique as Ian Anderson, and I doubt if anyone will. He is the Mozart of Rock Music.
I totally agree, cheers.
@@alwilson3204 " I have always referred to Ian and his merry band of misfits as a treasure" . Many live shows from mid 70's to late 80's and then the 50th Anniversary Tour, and beyond. So many extraordinary performances. Minstrel in the gallery, indeed !!
Ian Anderson a true legend. So many decades, albums, different band members. Had salmon farms, used satellites, technology & a whole other load of stuff. So called progressive rock, doesn’t do his music any justice. Let alone his business & entrepreneurial skills.
It's like comparing gold to platinum, but I see 'Songs From The Woods' as being their very best album of 'individual' songs... even compared to their Best 'whole album' effort... 'Thick As A Brick'... A highly underrated band, and, their Best lineup. Sometimes, the planets (or players) allign...such was the case here...
Wow. ich dachte nicht das es eine Live Version gibt. Das ist wunderbar. Thanks to Ian Anderson. Rob
Barrymore Barlow an excellent guitarist and also a flutist 👏👏
i have a feeling you meant to say Martin Barre
@@JabrHawr esp since BB is a drummer, and here drumming is doane perry. its ok tho
Front row Seattle Coliseum in 76, Ian was jamming on his flute and looking straight at me and my girlfriend. Thought his eyes were gonna pop outta his head right then and there, they were almost touching us I shit you not. Glad they stayed in his head so he could amaze a few million more couples like he did us that amazing night.
So many memories ❤️
I wish Ian Anderson/Jethro Tull would tour the states... I'd love to see these guys again. No one puts on a better show!
Why the album wasn't called Ditties from the Dell, I'll never know
Ok....Are there BOTS on this comment thread?? Songs From the Wood is my third favorite Tull album out of six that I listen to regularly. This performance is very good, but I'm not convinced that the lads actually did more than lip sync.
A band on top of their game. Stunningly good!
...and they are the better musicians than Led Zeppelin ...time shows ...
Very poor recording
❤❤❤👍👍👍 Great Song, Thank you.
Fucking amazing
Ian: The One.
El hombre es Un Artista. Esta canción me ha gustado mucho. Un poco más y crei que estaba viendo una opera. El coro que lo acompaña tiene voces bellas
Never saw a Tull show I didn't enjoy but this band lineup was my favorite, and it's a great album.
Saw this tour of the album, great show, went back the next night! Incredible performance 🎭
Martin Barre is always my favorite guitarist.
