..Lookout Ridge in north west Brooks Range was in my memory from winter 1981-82 as my travels took me there as part of geoseismic crew setting out data cables, 20 miles a day across NPR #4; this was rugged times for those on my crew; walking to set geophones in icy snowpack and later to roll up cables on return; then set them out again, going forward.. East to west. Four months working outdoors in winter, very remotely. Our camp moved every day, while data cable crews walked and occasionally got rides in Nodwell trucks, moving heavy coils of cables to re-deploy from front to back, to start over again.. I've worked and walked outdoors in -65°F. temperatures, when it warmed up to -25°F. a bunch of my crew took off our arctic gear and wore only T-Shirts & jeans, it was sunny a few days; and no winds! ~ small town AK-USA 🇺🇸❄🌤🐟🐻🍄🌿☃

Lots of rain today in Dawson, YT across the border with 23mm (1inch) of precipitation in a 12h period. That was welcomed after few days between 86and 89F.
