I personally don’t find tapping that impression. I kinda think it’s boring rather than watching her do a beautiful lyrical piece

As a tap dancer I look closely at the steps. It looked easy cause it kinda was. All she was doing was fallaps and heel thing and drawbacks. It how fast it was made it look hard

After trying to enjoy at least some if these performances NOT just on this Channel cannot .I fi d them like much in Gymnastits , Ice Skating ( both if which am.informed about & have limuted ability especually tge former ) I lacking Grace any true emition & joy .Far too much sexual conitation esoecially for young children to evoke . Cutesy which is never realky eityer cute ir appropriate .A REAL Perfirmer can speak even if NOT facing audience .Unfinushed & galf completed movements jar any performance . So sorry find tgem attractuve , ugky , jarring , dull in tgere always landing rolling aroubd in tge floor erc. AN I realky tge only person who thonks the amount of time & pennues spent by parents in particular envious Mitgers tho suppise the money is iften Father funded or maybe inheritance ( ? ).could be better spent with less long term mrssed up Adults .Am someine given the oportunities both at school.& by my Parents to take classes in many many things ( in the lare 1940 & 50s with visits to Sadlers Wells Tgeatre & Ice Perfirmaces saved for xarefully in war reciovering Engkand & thise t Trips , Cla sses expanded my eappreciation & life forevermore in so many ways . But tgese shows disturb me greatly !

These are definitely nottt advanced! I’m a tapper myself and my dances and solos are much harder then that! She has very easy and basic steps that she does fast on the other hand I have very difficult steps that are not a fast a Maddie but still fast.

finally someone pointed it out, there is a specific way to turn while tapping and that wasn't it
im not a tapper so i had no idea but there was something off about it when i watched her do that

@@vivyanite its not that we dont pirouette in tap shoes, it is that she was turned out while doing it. if you want to turn in tap shoes the proper way to do it is, to have your legs parallel and arms straight

As a tap dancer, this isn't that advanced. I'm grade 6 istd at age 14 and these steps are pretty basic, just the combo is fast so it requires precision. Not dragging her as it is amazing and more than what most people can do, but I'm really not sure what abbys talking about when she's constantly going on about maddies "advanced tapping"
maybe she means more advanced than the other dancers ..... pretty sure they don’t tap
Normally Abby ‘dumbs down’ the combos for meet and greets/masterclasses because she doesn’t want her dancers taking risks and potentially messing up in front of fans. Also, worries about lack of space. That’s why quite often in lyrical/contemporary/jazz pieces, they opt to not do an aerial or high leaps and they replace parts of the choreography with easier steps. Maddie’s tap solos on the show are a lot more difficult than what she did here. This was more just for entertainment and to be sharp and precise rather than advanced.

@@oceanblue9122 I get this but when have we actually seen maddie do advanced tapping? If it's not at meet and greets, and she has only had 2 (I think?) tap solos, theres no evidence to abbys claims. Not tryibg to beef, just making a point.
She really lacked flexibility in this....I have a feeling she didn’t really care about this...
I think it’s because she wasn’t warmed up and for the aerials I think she was trying to be careful because it’s a slippery floor
Yea if you compare this to her on stage dancing you can see a huge difference
It was a meet and great so she probably wasn't warmed up enough + the floor doesn't look good

From my experience, those kinds of floors are super slippery and I think she was scared she would slip or hurt somebody.
I am not really a Kendall fan but I think she did good in this dance, her musically was quite impressive. She gave a strong performance even though she needed a little more flexibility.
