I love how the whole audience stand up and join in with every verse. That truly is a National anthem. If only the other parts of the UK could come up with something so powerful and inspiring instead of the dreary dirges trotted out at rugby matches.
This is the most excellent presentation to date. None other rendition comes up to this iconic performance. Performance of not the right word because to all comes from the heart
Can't do this with with "God Save the King", can you.
So beautiful
That was rather humorous and jolly! I like it a lot!
So good! Is the score published?
Yes - by me. Send me a message.

Nothing better than a Welsh choir singing Welsh music, especially their anthem.
Bendigedig oedd cael canu hwn yn ein côr.......
!
My father was Welsh, my mother descended from a mixture of the rest of the UK. At 81, I am discovering my ancestral music on RUclips. It is so stirring. The flesh on my arms tingles. I loved singing in my church choir when I was younger and started singing lessons in my 50's. I wanted to start when I was younger but my mom couldn't afford it. I live in South Africa and I doubt that I will ever be able to visit Wales except via RUclips and maps. I must also access my family documents again to refresh my aging memory about family details. And check the family tree my niece, with whom I live, created. This will all help to keep my mind active. At the same time, I must listen to as much Welsh music as I can. 😊😊😊
The most beautiful National Anthem I know. Roby Couscheir - Belgium

This Anthem makes me cry. Why?
A song of resistance and survival. Over 2000 years we’ve been in Britain it’s our island not the English or the Scottish. Ours!
My Welsh ancestors emigrated to the U.S. 341 years ago (yes, 1683), but this anthem makes me feel much closer to the Welsh people.
It’s doesn’t matter where in the world you are Wales will always call you home.
Hi sir, it’s the boy who sang, you’ve got a friend in me at school!
Brings tears to my eyes every time I hear this. I'm proud of my Welsh ancestry.
I once heard the soccer fans in the stand singing this in four part harmony! My family left the coal mines in Wales five generations ago but that song stirs my heart still.
Being Welsh never leaves you. Wales will always call you home
Quelle nation fière ! . C'est tellement beau ! . Ah si les bretons se reveillaient de leur long sommeil !
It sounds like a prayer. Is it?
No. It is affirmation however, that it is indeed God’s country!
The Welsh will be around until judgement day 🏴
It's not just the wonderful tune that makes a performance supreme and memorable. it is the fact that it is always sung so well and with such fervour by the congregation. it is beyond comparison! As I said 4 years ago, Yn wych yn wir.
This stirring song was composed by James James, whose mother stuttered a little in Hollybush, Blackwood, Wales in 1832. His aim might have been to unseat La Marseillaise (1792) as la crème de la crème of anthems but but the jury is still out on that one after all these years. Either one will make you blubber if you let it get to you. I'm told that Australians cry when they hear their national anthem but for altogether different reasons.
Of all the places to stutter!
Listening to this wonderful music would make one want to go to Wales, learn the language just to be able to join in and sing.
That Violinist feels It …
Without any doubt this is the greatest of all time National Anthems.
An anthem written by a father & son, it's about the language, the culture, the people, the land. The most noble of all national anthems. Massive admiration & respect from a Scot.
I hope one day 🏴 Wales can be independent. Love from 🇺🇸 the United States
Fe godwn ni eto 🏴

Could you provide the sheet music for this song
I could. Are you going to sing it?
@@jeffreyhoward879 no, i want to play the arrangement, im an aspiring organist, I will try to play on a keyboard (I sadly dont own an organ and buying a digital pedalier is the economical equivalent of selling a kidney in this county).
Well this copy won’t help you as it’s an organ solo arrangement written by me for organs with pedals. You’d be better off buying the sheet music piano version.
@@jeffreyhoward879 please, I just want an accurate arrangement.

2 nations 1 people. Long live the Britons
I've read somewhere that Evan James was inspired to write this as a response to his brother who had emigrated to America and wanted him to join him. When translated into English, you can see why, the bards, patriots and the language are all mentioned. No wonder it means so much to you in Wales. What astonishing passion and the other two verses are sung here too, which are rare. Always jealous as a proud Englishman whenever I hear this, because its one of the best anthems in the world! Just wish we had our own to match to sing when appropriate
I lived in Roath in 1977 - and we had a huge street party in Strathnairn Street near Albany Road - very clear and wonderful memory for me! Best days.
Vi amoooooooooooooooooooo tutti amen alleluyia .
what a pity ... in the 2nd phrase : "Ei gwrol ryfelwyr" should take the same melodic way than "gwladgarwyr tra mad" (with the adequate transposition of course) : same at " Trwy deimlad gwladgarol / mor swynol yw si" and at " Ni luddiwyd yr awen / gan erchyll law brad" ... Why do they do these multiple errors ?? We find them in the Breton Anthem too (what a shame...) !!
It is what it is!
@@jeffreyhoward879 it doesn't make any sense what you answered a half hour ago !
@@FabriceBEAUDOIN- let me put it another way. This is how we sang it in the concert and this is how it was recorded. It is what it is. Just like it is in the Breton anthem.

Wales will always call you home
I have always, always loved this anthem. It really stirs my soul.
Yr 2il anthem orau yn y byd. Mor agos y tu ôl i'r goreuon. Dyma'r unig ddwy anthem rydw i bob amser yn ymuno â nhw. Mor llawn o gariad at wlad y mae'r Saeson bob amser wedi ceisio ei dinistrio. Mae ganddyn nhw lawer yn gyffredin â fy anthem #1, dysgais Gymraeg pan oeddwn i'n gweithio yn yr Wyddfa. Fy anthem arall a ddysgais wrth wasanaethu yn eu byddin. A dyma'r anthem fwyaf pwerus yn y byd. Mae'n ymwneud â'r wlad, y bobl, a'u cariad at y wlad. Yn wahanol i anthem Lloegr, nad yw’n ymwneud â Lloegr, na’i phobl, dim ond y parasitiaid sy’n meddwl eu bod yn werth £2 biliwn y flwyddyn o arian trethdalwyr.
