I am very proud of my group members for speaking up today . I understand their frustration , when speaking to this board one can feel very intimidated. We do see the faces people make while we speak and it shows that they aren’t really getting how we feel . So I do thank you for allowing us to speak . But I do agree that we feel like some don’t care enough about the community that has been exposed .

After watching this video and the one that a person from the audience posted, I am beyond furious at what I have seen! To have SEVERAL board members that couldn't even be bothered to look at myself, or the others while speaking, is not only rude and disrespectful, but also flat out insulting! It is very obvious by what is going on in the community that there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of care to what the public thinks and has to say. If we want to go back to the basics, something as simple as looking at someone when they are speaking to you, which is taught in preschool, should be done. The lack of care, and the bothersome look on some of the board members faces SPEAKS VOLUMES!!! I'm sure this comment will end up deleted because it is a criticism against the SSAB, but I do hope that every member gets to see it before it does! You might not care about us or our families and friends, but you could at least fake some respect while we are addressing you!

Congratulations to those receiving their awards. I miss all of you. The board looks awfully small.
