I was forced to come off the roundabout at the exit for Basingstoke, by a car coming alongside me, on my right and basically rammed me off the road, heavy bruising and cut knees, due to my leather motorcycle jeans being sent back for being too big. Six hours in Royal Berks Hospital, no painkillers, then sent on my way. Luckily a police officer saw me limping out of the hospital, at around 11pm and gave me a lift to the train station. He was going to take me back home but got a ‘shout’ so had to drop me off. Had to walk/limp a mile up hill in agony, called my girlfriend to help she ran down the hill to help me get back. We have, ever since referred to it as ’TheJunction of Death’.

Some of the road layouts are just stupid in this country.

What is confusing about the road markings ? The two left hand lanes signed as A33 pull towards the left hand side and the two right hand lanes go straight on. It's just common sense which a'lot of people on this junction don't have. Or they like to cut across lanes because they think they can beat the traffic until they find they are stuck at the next set of lights.

They won't put a left arrow on such an approach because someone will do a sharp left and end up going the wrong way up the M4. They could however put a straight on and right arrow in lane 3 and a right arrow in lane 4.

Absolutely Many times had cars cut across me . I now wait until all the cars from the two inside lanes have gone through before I proceed across.
