As easy as it is to join the hate… let’s be real… there’s no other game that gives you the immersive F1 experience. If you enjoy it for what it is, and not hate it for what you want it to be, you might enjoy it a little more. We are lucky these games are half decent these days compared to F1 games 10-20 years ago. If you truly want sim, you know this isn’t the game.

I have around 250hrs into F1 2020, and it's actually the last F1 game I bought. Got my eyes on 24 hoping it's gonna be good 😂😂

F1 2024 is not a new game these are yearly updates sold as a new game. Till people buy them, these fucking developers will not build a new game from ground up which would be needed.. new graphics physics engine etc..

Welcome to the current state of all EA sports games.

ALL player bases have the same complaint regarding their games. They just aren't fun anymore. The FIFA/EAFC guys are complaining, and so are the CoD players, the WoW players, the Overwatch people, the Need For Speed guys, the Tekken players, I mean even the Fortnite players and now the sim racers and I can't help but agree with them. These games aren't fun anymore.

I just play multiplayer and drive as dirty as possible. It's the only fun I have anymore.

Am I the only one that misses the controller feel of the last engine? I loved sitting on the couch and playing 2013, still do honestly. I'm tired of pulling out my wheel to have half an experience with F1 games. 2020 came the closest to feeling like 2013, but it was still sluggish in comparison. There's built in dampening in the new engine and there's no way to get the old feeling back, kind of sucks.

Played only F1 2018 for this particular reason. Racing games are hard to create something innovative for Carrier mode, because all you do is racing. It's basic concept. This genre could not be developing much. If you want FUN racing, go Forza Horizon or maybe GRID. But series racing like WRC, Nascar, F1 etc. can be only about racing in the nutshell.

Swap the top arrow in the thumbnail with 2017 and the bottom one with 2020 and it would reflect the consensus in 2020. The F1 Game franchise is fine. The 2024 game looks like it's gonna be a miss, but it's good to see they're taking a year to experiment with the handling a bit so the 2025 game will be better.

Boh, i'm still enjoying F1 23, it's more a challenge with myself to see if I can win at 90%+ difficulty.

The main issue for me with those games is that something always seems to be off. In 2021 and 2022 it was the handling and in 2023 the terribly balanced AI. In 2020 I had to do one short qualifying on each track to know the exact AI level that suits me there and the best part is that the time gained per AI percentage was exactly 0.100 seconds and 0.200 seconds on ultimate level. That gap got more inconsistent and therefore harder to calculate and the AI got even more inconsistent, now even between sessions and game modes. If I have to fiddle around with such settings and have to restart a quali and then a race for 4 or 5 times just to find out the right AI level then the game is already trash.

They could just make a single IP and keep developing that, add things like Formula E F2, F3 and of course classic cars. foster a fanbase for it and monetise it in a sensible way (not that id trust EA to do that tbh) you'd be suprised how profitable a well liked and popular game is

got AMS2 a couple of months ago - havn't enjoyed racing as much since Forza Motorsport 2 days. This Game/Sim is fun fun fun

I must say... F1 23 is the best one for me simply because of how amazingly fun the handling is with a controller. Sank 700 hours in it, compared to F1 2020 at 50 hours or so.

F1 2010-2012 was peak. EA tried harder when they too over the franchise now its just a re skin ever year

Because the novelty has worn off that’s all, the games have improved but it isn’t fun anymore because they are just a normal occurrence. You don’t need even four minutes to explain it. Clickbaiter.

in terms of fun i think f1 23 is the best game since 2020 however i think the improvement isnt as good as it should be...we need more tracks and better physics

I think its both codemaster and current state f1. I brought the first code master f1 game . I lasted less than hr wnet back to gp4. Few years later tried new game on free weekend, same result. It looked nice , but menus where annoying and cars did not feel attached to road. Now i look at current f1 on tv and have little interest with rubbish tyres, drs ,ers, some awful tracks, 3 stage qually. I sort dumped it and moved on to sports car racing with acc. It just feels nicer. Because i play acc i now watch sportscar racing . F1 is just bit mess at moment
