      What fuel consumption do you have? You can probably supercharge it if you want to.

    i had 3 inch with m80 cherry bomb no res kept my cats n i have to say sounded very similar if not more aggressive

    Can you give me an advice for a mid 2015 N20 220i in terms of tuning and maintenance stuff, what to renew/replace in which intervalls? Mine sits at 110k KMs now and im doing Oil every 8k KMs I dont know how the previous owner held up on oil intervalls since it was a woman, maybe she stuck to BMW idrive service Interwalls. Im scared of engine knock or timing chain failure. I only put premium gas in it 100 Octane here in germany i think its 98 octance for US. I already did chargepipe, intercooler and coolant flange and replaced coolant. Should i di anything else you'd recommend?

      @@settounite well to be honest, my engine died at 248k km’s. Then I Replaced it with the 328i engine because of the stronger pistons and different compression. I bought the car at 230k km’s and it died with a rod knock, could be fixed but since of the mileage is chose for a new engine. I bet the previous owners didn’t do its oil changes in time since it died on cylinder 3 because of oil starvation is what it looks like. I now do mine between 10k-15k km. Maintenance is key with these engines, since your mileage is way lower you should hopefully be fine. Also since you have the 2015 version of the N20 you should have the upgraded timing chain and the EWG Turbo which are two common failures that are less likely to fail.

    Basically upgrade the timing chain to a exetropic chain (A better chain for these) and root for 500-600hp

      So it’s just a midpipe with race cats and resonator. The setup is: High flow exhaust manifold, magnaflow race cats and resonator and after that a cut out and a remus muffler

    Is it economical while cruising? the GDI should make it more efficient, i know that an N52 will get 10-8L/100 km

      I didn’t drive it for it to be fuel efficient 😂 I got like 12L/100km, sometimes even worse. But I drove it pretty hard.

      I don’t think so, it’s mostly caused due to oil starvation. I expect it’s the previous owner not doing oil changes on time which makes stuff get clogged up.

      @@bigturbo_f30Bro I have the X5 40e with this engine and I bought it from the dealer 2 weeks ago and the whole engine just broke. It was at 125 000 kilometers. The reason the whole engine broke was that the oilpump wasn't working. Atleast I'll get a new engine for free since the dealer has to pay for it. Kinda annoying to pay almost 40K for the car and now I can't drive it for like a month

      Unfortunately at some point I had a rod knock, so I figured I should just replace the engine with a factory new engine so put that in there, also with a TTE400 hybrid turbo, wagner intercooler, etc. Atm running BM3 stage 2 for 10k km right now and planning on going stage 3 soon

    Hi Samuel, how does the car hold up to the mods? I am buying a 320i this week with 65k kms on the clock and I planned to tune it to stage 1 but everyone told me that the engine will blow.

      Well I’ve been stage 1 for almost 10k kms right now and it’s doing amazing. I already have 248k kms on the car. First engine, never been replaced

I got an n20 from 2015 (hopefully with upgraded new timing chain version) and people scare me all the time how unreliable the engine is past 100k KMs. Right now im at 110k i bought it with slightly under 100k KMs. Awesome to hear that you have a 2013 Version N20 that held up to twice the amount of KMs. Have u replaced timing chain yet?

      Well what I’ve heard from my friends it had some drone in the back but i love a little drone, wasn’t to much for me. But for me it was a cutout so not a full muffler delete so if you’d do that it should be less.

      Well tbh the car was very torquey always. Had been pretty reliable to me only had the expensive issue with the injectors

      @@eduardul133 The issues I had were at cold start where it was fluctuating in RPM’s. It already had the issue when I bought it and knew about it. Bought the car at 209k km’s

      @@bigturbo_f30 these engines (n53 non turbo) have one advantage : you dont worry about the vanos or the turbo, but on the other side injectors, ignition coils, sparkplugs, water pump and fuel pump issues are common - but most of them did have a recall

      No, it has been replaced by one of the previous owners at 117k km and i did it myself just to be sure (had no timing chain issues) at 240k km

      It’s doing great, did replace the timing chain just to be sure. I did the tune after the replacement since i just wanted to be sure.

    3.0 liters, 320 nm, more weight and still faster than a 3.5L V6 Camry!! (Camry specs: 272 PS, 347 nm 1550 kg 6AT). N53 > 2GR

      im pretty sure you can find camry videos that are close or even better than this time. It really depends on the conditions of the test, slope gradient, condition of engine etc. So yeh this is not a conclusive fact.

      @@bobaphat3676 Please read my comment carefully. I said N53 > 2GR, I didn't say E60 530i > Camry V6. When N53 can keep up with Camry with 120 kg more weight (E60 body), it means that the same engine in E90 body (330i N53 with almost the same weight as Camry) can beat the Toyota hands down. You can find any videos you like! You can even find Camry videos in which Camry beats a Lamborghini!!! It is up to the viewer to decide what is the truth about cars!!

      @@Messergebnis-liebhaber lol dude you said "more weight". So you're referring to the e60 530i. That's how I read your comment. You're referring to a 5 series. The camry is more or less neck and neck with the e60 530i. Perhaps the 330i is slightly faster. Camry has the edge from stop due to its front wheel layout. Furthermore, if we want to get down to business, let us compare the 2grfse to the n53, the 2grfse in it's sedan iterations leaves the bmw NA engine in the dust. And I am a BMW fan, more so than toyota.
