Barrage pulse is SURPRISINGLY GOOD
Somehow, Barrage pulse is actually pretty good, and I'll die on this hill. That being said, it's definitely not flawless as it also struggles with damaging serpentine bosses like Glaucus and Star Eater.

Since this is among my first few attempts at Utopia Must Fall, I'm not aware of more optimized strats that could carry me further. For the moment, I do feel like the turret pretty quickly gets outpaced by enemy health-scaling, even with upgrades, although that could be the point. Turns out my mic stopped working mid-recording. Since its quite a laggy build, and also got pretty lucky with the mods I got, I didn't really wish to record another run. I think you can definitely make yourself less likely to be overwhelmed if you use flares earlier, especially when you have pretty much all upgrades for them :P Thanks for your uploads, by the way. There aren't many people playing these games in both entertaining and efficient way.
@@Annokh Only reason why I like reserving my flares is for the especially difficult waves, like either with the circular blue enemies that fire missiles, or the purple/ dark blue enemies that fire rainbow bomb, and of course the FRIGGIN carpet bombers!
@@ExcaliburHeavyBattlecruiser I believe there's still some balance to be found. After all, enemies that can be shot earlier won't bother you later, so you prevent some cases of difficult waves. Then the fact that fully upgraded flares regenerate quite fast and imo it's beneficial to try and prevent some downtime of their regeneration. Finally, during tough waves your flail will often shoot directly, ignoring flares, so there's that...

apparently, the volley upgrade tree and barrage super mod don't negatively affect the lance itself, just the sparks.
Yep its one of those nitpicky things you might want a lawyer to go over just to be sure. A bit of a joke but yeah they have things like: "weapon *projectile* blast radius" in their description which is NOT the same as "weapon blast radius" which does affect the Lance for obvious reasons if you pay enough attention to the text and bother to compare them.

This turned out to be more interesting than I thought about this build. Although now I'm curious about mechanics such as Barrage and RoF and ho they affect this.
@@Annokh Rof creates more weapon instances on mines. I don't know the exact math, but generally, it does help out

Can you try a shield regen build? Energized shields (revelation + explosive growth) then take discharge. It should wrap around the entire map. Discharge is better with slower firing weapons (energized shields slows rate of fire). Hidden power will be taken. Also, make sure to take emergency systems and tempest break.
Doesnt HP reset the build's fire rate back to 1s
