Kinchela Boys Home Aboriginal Corporation aims to assist Kinchela men, their families and communities recover their identity, dignity and well-being.
The Walking Together Program
We have developed a whole of family model of healing and wellness, called "The Walking Together Program". We need funding now to put this into practice, otherwise the Uncles will pass and this opportunity will be lost forever.

This Dillybag was developed for and with KBHAC Survivors and descendants to aid in the completion of important end-of-life care yarns and documents with Uncles / Aunts. This is important because it means those around the KBHAC community know what they want and don’t want if there is a health emergency or when the time comes.

So raw and so very true ❤ Kinchela Boys Home Aboriginal Corporation (KBHAC) - The Walking Together Program is so important in the pathway of learning and healing together. KBHAC have been detrimental in supporting family connection and reconnection amongst other crucial areas of work to ensure the stories, truth and pathways to healing are not lost. Our Uncles and Fathers have been through so much pain over the years and our families and structures are an unfortunate immediate byproduct of the stolen generation policies. I am a proud descendant and continue on the road to healing. Last year my sister and I had an opportunity to reconnect with our birth Father and although there is so much to process we have allowed ourselves to take the necessary steps towards healing and reconnection. We haven’t had a connection with our birth Father and family for 50 years until last year and we are fortunate to continue on our pathway of healing with our Uncles and Fathers driving guidance in the work KBHAC do. Without continued funding these necessary opportunities will struggle to continue.

why do australians keep killing all the aborigines! it makes no sense! they should go back to there own country and kill other animals and leave aborigines to live in peace!
