Thanks. My friend Julian Piper recorded Silas's last album i 1988 in Baton Rouge, called THE GODFATHER. He was great and cruelly under rated. The real downhome blues.

First heard a cover of this great song by the Animals in 1965 which I love to this day, but Jimmy Reed’s recording of it is sublime! ❤

Played them 10 times in 2 years at Agora’s . Usually because they ran out of gas, were hungry, cold and nowhere to sleep! This group should have made it, but had no label support or singles! A real shame. Show me a better drummer, bass player or guitarist in 1970?!!

Thank you poster! I heard the PPBB with Elvin on lead several times and once with Buzzy Feiten, both tasteful fretmen but neither in the rarified air where Jimi and Bloomfield existed. Happily for Elvin he made a career out of his one radio hit and put out some great albums along the way like Juke Joint Jump. Heard Jimi twice and to me, he is the greatest. If only he and Mike had survived!

Love this ORIG. & Santana's version for different reasons. 😍The shuffle, one of the hardest, longest ones I've heard. Some songs go into a shuffle & it's never long enough for me, they always leaving me wanting more. Poor Peter, he was SO gifted. Like a lot of us who lived through those crazy years, we'll never know if the mental health crap we left with, was from the chemicals we used or not? Without playing guitar for 50 yr.s😮😆 & my love of music, I don't think I'd of made it🥴~ Thanks
