Being constantly reminded that, when she wasn't being a spoiled brat, Andrea was actually a genuinely good person, was one of my favorite things in the series

Andrea reminds me a lot of Courtney from As Told by Ginger, albeit with more daddy issues(Courtney's dad at least attempts to spend time with her....its odd but its something) In a sense they can be antagonistic toward the MC but not intentionally most of the time. The episode of them making a movie is a good example of this. Andrea is the antagonist but she isnt itentionally being malicious. She thinks she is just trying to make a movie with her bestie. They think theyre being helpful in their own semi-narcissistic way. They genunely see the main character as their best friend.

One thing shown a few times over the series is that Molly can be overly enthusiastic and screw up when she pushes too hard, but when she just does good things more naturally, good things happen. Her efforts to beat Andrea at that charity competition almost led to disaster, but an act of kindness in the spur of a moment earned her a true friend.

It's really sad that despite how popular she is Andrea off hand admits she doesn't have any friends. She says Molly is her best friend but it's clear only Andrea thinks that and not Molly who saw them as mutually respectful enemies. The two acts of kindness Molly did which was just unintentional on her part meant everything to her and she has considered them best friends since.
