I am the mix of both :) i love how contemporary is more dynamic and sharper but how fluid and emotional lyrical is

I dance and love both. To me It’s not just about speed, lyrical flows more whether it’s slow or quick with long lines and contemporary I feel has more hard hitting beats/movement and sharper changes in movement that can be done both slower and faster. Some also say contemporary is rooted in Modern dance styles while lyrical is more rooted in Ballet

Idk how people are picking I can't i love all dance no matter if its slow or fast! I'm a lyrical dancer but I still really like comtep bc its basically just like lyrical but faster

Contemporary. I don't like lyrical (as well as ballet) that much. I'm also a big fan of hip hop and urban dance.

Lyrical, because the moves go eith the song and the beat. And i am just better at slow dancing generally
