69012 at Tonbridge West Yard + Aviation Fuel Trains
In this video I take a trip down to Tonbridge West Yard GBRf to see the latest addition to GBRailfreight's Class 69 fleet. This being 69012 named Falcon 2. An interesting livery based of the original Class 53 locomotive named Falcon. This locomotive was also a prototype for the famous Class 47 alongside two other prototypes named Lion and Kestrel.
Anyway, as a bonus in this video, I managed to capture two workings of the aviation fuel trains that run down in the southeast to serve Heathrow Airport.
I hope you enjoy this video and thanks for watching!

In this video I take a trip to Peterborough train station to catch a variety of Diesel Locomotives and Passenger Trains on their duties and I was not dissapointed! To being the video, two Class 56 locomotives stop for a crew change which allowed me to get the thrash and clag of the locomotives upon departure. 56103 was the leading locomotive and had just returned to mainline service after a lon...

A big crowd gatherer was the Cross Country HST that now belongs to Colas Rail, I myself was very pleased with this consist ...

In this video, I take a trip up to London to film two of Netwrok Rail's Test Trains. The first, filmed at London Liverpool Street, was two Colas Rail Class 37s. 37254 Cardiff Canton lead the train into the train station and 37612 lead the service out. It was great to get some classic Class 37 thrash out of the station! The second, filmed at London Euston and Bushey train stations, was the reass...

On Wednesday 20th March 2024, there was a variety of locos being shunted at Locomotive Services Limited (LSL) One to One collection. Due to the delivery of 60081 the previous day, some shunting was required to get the locomotives into a order that would allow future removals easier. First, 37190 was moved onto the track parallel to it. The locomotive was pulled onto an Allelys truck and then sh...

Some very unusual liveries there.. never see anything like them where I live in the Midlands. Great filming of unusual movements. I to remember the original Kestral. Many thanks for an eye opener video for me.. Dave from Coventry.
There certainly was a lot of interesting liveries haha I'm glad you enjoyed. Thanks for watching! :)
It's so strange to hear a 56 with a 66's engine.
I was luvky enough to see the original Kestrel running passenger service through Reading in the early 70's
That certainly must've been an interesting sight
@@photographerjamie indeed it was. A variety of traction and always something interesting turned up. Have to say I'm not a fan of the ubiquitous class 66 that seems to be everywhere
I think none of us are, the only 'variety' is a different coloured shed or something like a test train 😂
Nice catch on double oil moving! 🙂 Great shots of 69012 aswell! 😊
Thanks a lot! 😌 Hope you enjoyed
@@photographerjamie I sure did! 😄 Great videos as always, keep it up! 😊
Nice
I never thought that the famous japanese "Doctor Yellow" inspection train will find it's place in UK.
Our test trains have been going for years, they've just not always been yellow. I think they went to yellow sometimes around 2000 but I could be a few years off. I do like seeing pictures of Dr yellow, quite a nice train, shame they'll be replacing it soon. Thanks for watching!
What a moment!! 💪
Ĺike the colour
Horns sounded like a 313 horn
As I'm sure someone has already pointed out, the 56 isn't powered by a Valenta. It does have a Paxman Ruston engine, but the Valenta was only used in the HSTs. Don't get me wrong though, it still sounds great!
Ah they hadn't but probably heard that somewhere thank you
Very nice!
Thank you :)
Was certainly a good day out thats for sure mate
It definitely was, gotta plan a day out again soon. Maybe Derby or Westbury or Eastleigh 🤔
@@photographerjamie yep I'm up 4 that bro
Sweet
Good work well done
Lovely video as always Jamie
Great video! As someone living in the SE, Eurostar really needs to stop in Kent
Hi Jamie, was the one who came in today brought a class 37 and drove your railway. Great video!
Ah hello little dude! Well done on finding my channel! It was great to see you in the shop again, I appreciate the feedback. Hope your model performs well :)
@@photographerjamie thank you!!

Good work i was hoping you was going to film the steam train in Kent
Thank you! I did film the steam train that came to Kent but I filmed in when it returned to London, I haven't gotten round to editing it just yet, but it'll be coming along soon :) Thanks for watching!
Nice video Jamie, and love the thumbnail
Thank you Thomas, I appreciate your kind words
Awesome video mate ❤😊
Thank you! I hope you enjoyed!
Where is this
yeah, that was a big splat! Nice to catch the shoes being retracted - seldom witnessed. Good catch
Thank you! It gave me quite the jump! 😂
😮🤩
😨 And they say test trains are safe! 😂
HEY I CATCH IT AT READING
That's very cool!
Blud got 10 views 😂
Thanks for sharing this - Great "snapshots".
Thanks for your kind words! :)
Absolutely brilliant footage mate jeez that was seriously voltage hope not to much damage done certainly made some bang that
Thank you! Luckily no damage was present, but it has been a reoccurring issue with arcing in that platform with the other commuter trains and caused it to be shut for a little bit as it was causing arcs big enough to burn the platform canopy! However it's now back open and operating again! Thanks for watching! :)
I wasn’t even aware of a Class 69
They're converted class 56s, they've been around for about 3-4 years I think
@@photographerjamie I read they’ve been driven class 66 engines. I’m wondering how many times I’ve heard one of these and thought it was a 66 from the engine sound.
@@Uajd-hb1qs probably a few 😂 There aren't many 69s built, only 11 are out and about currently with another 5 or so planned
@@photographerjamie I’ll certainly have to look out for them.
@@Uajd-hb1qs Currently at the time of writing there are about 6 in the Doncaster/Toton area. There's 1 or 2 that are working between Kent and Eastleigh, I think there's one down in Tonbridge, there's 2 based in Leicester and the rest are being built at Longport
Thank you for the videos! (Frosso from Crete Gr)
You're very welcome! :) Sorry it's not my best cause I had to rush everything so there was quite a bit of camera shake from time to time, glad you enjoyed none the less! ^^ Thanks for watching!

Amazing video Jamie. I was hooked to the end and some lovely photos to finnish off. All the best, John. 👍 👍👍👍😀
I'm glad you found it enjoyable thank you 😁 Thanks a lot for watching!
A big thumbs up to everyone who restored BR Class 60081, superb job.
How many trains do lsl need?
Yes
At least one of everything
I worked with this Engine at Warrington Arpley when she still had her Isambard Kingdom Brunel Nameplates on. That would have been in The mid 90s if my memory serves me correct.
That must've been an experience! It's a shame they removed the nameplates and such before it came down Anywho, thanks for watching! :)
Was that a ex. M and d Bristol vr bus I saw hiding in the back round there
Im honestly not sure as I haven't got a single clue about buses I'm afraid 😂 But thanks for watching!
@@photographerjamie certainly looks like it was 1
lsl could easily put a replacement power unit in it there are plenty of them avalible and get it reinstated as a railtour loco but they would rather spend money on creating another blue pullman HST. which is a waste of money in my opinion.
60081 will eventually run tours but she will remain in Margate until a gap opens up in the overhaul queue
Love the br loco green steam livery. Surely the last of the good-looking locos. Nowxi feel every thiing looks a bit manky and the class 70s look like an old electric milk float.
Sadly not a great variety of locos anymore, it's either Sheds, 800s or Electrostars Wish I could've seen stuff from BR days, seems so much more enjoyable haha Anywho, thanks for watching!
@photographerjamie I started trainspotting in 1959 at hornsey, i remember well the gresley locos and even prototype deltics and of course the production deltics that really set the ECML, the variety of diesel traction was wonderful everywhere and the new Al1s to AL6s that revolutionised the Lond9n Manchester and Liverpoop routes. When I look at the variety of electric emus they all look the same, they all do the same speed and nothing stands out. The HST paxman units were great. I find railways in France far more interesting to look at.
The most excitement I can find these days are test trains and the occasional freight by a 56. Though to be fair, Eurostars are quite cool, prefer the older 373s to the newer 374s. But definitely wish I could've been around for the 47s, 20s, 58s, 56s, 60s etc. looks much more fun :)
@@photographerjamie even in diesel days Kingscross was exciting, the throbbing Napier deltics and diesel smoke and fumes. Now it is so functional and clinical
my friend sent video of it going past westwood cross!
I bet that would've looked good!
that a T54/55 tank to my knowledge
It very well could be, all I remember from the pictures of it going in was it was very big 😂 I think I was a 2-8-0? But anywho, thanks for watching! :)
fair play to that driver, having to line the tracks up like 5 times then must be hard,
Both the driver and the other guy were both absolutely amazing, it looked very tedious but couldn't fault their work whatsoever, perfection is all you can describe it as! And thanks for watching! :)
Looking great and I like the Trabant car there as well at 0:14.
Thanks! It was certainly a sweet looking car, much prefer old designs to the modern day SUVs and such, just something about the classics, probably cause they actually fit on the roads 😂 Anywho, thanks for watching!
Yep it was approximately 17:00 hours this evening!
My word it's definitely taking its time 😂
Just sighted 47841 en route parked up on the A50/M1 roundabout
That can't be today surely? It left almost two days ago 🤔
i saw it at the m25 a41 junction north of watford around 07:16 ish this morning
Well fair enough then, appreciate the updates :)
I'd never ehard of this place....
It's not very well known yet but might gain popularity when it fully opens up
Its part of Hornby’s Visitor Centre
sounds complicated....
