lol, a genius he may be, but Jeeves can be so catty about the slightest deviation from 'proper' attire
4:57 The sickened and pensive horror in his face has got to be the best acting I've ever SEEN.
Steven fry being able to express so much while simultaneously being so subtle and rigid is incredibly impressive, and makes Jeeves as a character so much funnier
I've been into Jeeves & Wooster again and this is a perfect compilation. What-ho!
He’s a Plasterer now
Fry's Jeeves was always a little on the smug and drama queen side to be 100% faithful to the books. Still a lovely series.
The idea of the young master actually wearing the mess jacket drove the stout-hearted Jeeves back a pace. But, we know how hidebound and reactionary Jeeves is when it comes to proper dress.
1:12 In fairness, that tie was damnably offensive
jeeves is an absolute savage.
opprobrious remark (I should remember that)
I cannot even begin to describe how perfect the actor was for Dirk! I miss him dearly. the clumsiness, the holistic thing, the goofiness
The poor man, worrying he'll be like "The Fugitive". XD
“I’ve only dug like. . . 30. . . Million holes”
My favorite little man ever
Hugh's expressions are so funny, I love that they didn't play it straight
He's such a loser i love him
2:28 I love how he points at his initials in the wrong order while he says them out loud. 😭🤣
show is so underrated
So whats new about Stephen Fry?
*Fancy an 99’ boss?*
He'll go with you Bertie but by Jove you better lose that muthafucking hat.
Why do people only see hugh as Dr House? I mean u understand why, his acting was immaculate and the fact he was a co-directer but he was amazing in blackadder and this series, im obsessed with House but im glad ive seen him in blackadder and stuart little first lol
Stuart little, his finest role lmao
Chris is an icon
stephen fry is a genius bringing all of jeeves' subtle judgment to life!
Just started S2 of Ashes to Ashes. If it's possible, Chris is even more adorable in that one. 🥰
He is, I love his character development in ashes to ashes 😊
pls why does no one know this amazing show it deserves more love
I think it's poor viewership originally means it just isn't getting good attention from streamers. It would be great if there were more fans and more episodes
"Chris, put your arms up like youre trying to defend yourself" "🖐😮🖐"
Hugh Laurie ? As Bertie Wooster? Tickety Tosh!!(and I mean it to STING!)
I admire Freddie and this character he's playing is so sweet ❤ I'm glad I found this show. Bristish accent = beautiful accent
This show needs more recognition
Hes so
For as much attention Gene gets. Chris deserves just as much attention and I always liked he was the middle man between Tyler and Hunt's way of policing.
i just... i love these boys. so goddamn much <3 <3
Same. 😁
What a pair. 💗
3:33 allowing the tiniest fraction of a crack in composure whilst facing the opposite way with an eye roll. very good.
Thank goodness it was filmed in more smart times when people didn't need background laughter to spot a joke.
This show was released right around the same time as “A Bit of Fry and Laurie” and “Blackadder,” which both featured laugh tracks, so it has nothing to do with the time or era. I do, however, agree completely on dislike of canned laughter.
3:10 - click if you are a Scottish Terrier fan ;)
I love how some of his "Very good, sirs" sound like "f&$ you!". 0:20-How dare Jeeves not want to commit major felonies! 0:39-Yes enemies often just throw clothes into other people's wardrobes so..they look bad? 0:59-"What part of none of your business do you not understand, sir?" 1:10-How to traumatize a valet in one lesson. 1:53-Double diss considering that Stephen Fry's own relatives were Holocaust survivors. 2:50-How to traumatized a valet in two lessons! 3:44-Valet sass at its finest!. 4:30-"When I say health, I mean what I am going to do to you if you continue playing that instrument, sir!" 4:51-"You realize that this is a wealthy household and I will be the one looking after it, sir!" 5:27-And thus we learn that P.G. Wodehouse discovered fanfiction! 6:26-"Maybe it would be better if Mr. Biffen were with another woman, say I don't know a Jeeves like my niece, MABEL!!!" 7:00-Don't you hate when couples break up? 7:47-" I need the money." "I need the money." "I need the money." 7:59-"Well played, Wooster!" The last face Bertie Wooster ever sees! 9:11-"No, I am afraid that I have not seen your prostitutes lately, sir." 11:30-In the fanfiction trade, we call this UST. We all need a Jeeves.
I can´t believe that he wasted a good part of his career with that Doctor House Bollocks
These shows are brilliant, but I wouldn't consider _House, M.D._ a waste. If anything, it shows Laurie's excellent range.
There is no snob, like a gentleman's gentleman.
I hope someone can help me. I'm looking for the episode in which Madelyn marries Major Spode. I can't remember the name of the episode, and I very much want to view it. Thanks in advance to the clever fan who can point me to it!😊
That's the end of the very last episode I believe, enjoy!
@@oldbetter-or-for-worser8359Thanks... but it's hard to find by order... do you know the title of that episode please?
@@jeanettecook1088 'the ties that bind', or 'the exes are nearly married off'
@@oldbetter-or-for-worser8359 Thank you!! 😊
Love the sarcasm.
Occasionally judgemental, always sarcastic.
... But never, ever, wrong.
Yoo is that house???
Love that people still enjoy this show. It will never not be funny
Absolutely! One of my favorites. 😁
Apparently Jeeves is not only a valet but also a cook, housemaid and butler. This explains why Bertie never appeared to keep any other servant.
That’s what a Valet is. Jeeves is not a Butler! A Butler only serves food and drinks to his master, and lights his cigars or cigarettes. A Valet is a “Gentleman’s Gentleman” and does everything from ironing his clothes to running a bath or even shaving him. A Butler would generally be a Servant in a larger household and have several footmen working under him, but not be particularly skilled in much other than serving drinks and food. Jeeves is his employer’s only staff and does everything! He can Buttle, and has filled in for Butlers in the past, but that’s far easier than his normal job!
Youre so real @@frasierfreak92
When I think of A Bit of Fry and Laurie, all I hear in my head is "you want to arse the parlor maid?" 🤣🤣🤣. My childhood was delightful af due in part to that show 😁.
Love these two working together. Blackadder pairing also splendid ❤❤❤
Yesss! They're fantastic in “Blackadder”!
Jeeves and I agree on mustaches.
9:41 XD the best part is he _does_ look like Kitchener! Oh, that's _mean._
