This was a solo song by Steve. As far as I remember, Journey never performed it.

All Rolling Stone Magazine personnel should have been fired on the spot picking any Rock singer over Steve Perry as the best!! First of all Perry used Head Voice, not fake falsetto. He basically orchestrated the harmony. He ALWAYS had good, solid lyrics. Meaningful lyrics. Great stage presence. Sweated profusely because he gave every ounce of what he had in him to put on a good show. He had perfect voice tone. Ill be honest, I never heard the man go flat or sharp. Excellent vibrato. Was there anything he didnt have? And Rolling Stone hardly even mentioned his name. Picking singers over him that were a complete JOKE compared. Shame on Rolling Stone…

Me thankful I saw the original band. And loving the 80s band. Real music and real talent.

Look it’s this simple. Best vocals, best guitarist, Keyboardist, drummer, everything, lyricsharmony, My all time favorite band since probably 1978. First song i ever heard by them was Lights and of course the DJ didn’t say who they were so i had to find out for myself. They have put out around 250 if not more songs. I’ve seen them LIVE twice and Steve Perry put out every ounce of energy he had in him to provide a good show. He was sweating profusely throughout the concert. You could see him on the big screen. At the concerts, they did everyone of my favorite songs. And If I remember correctly, they did at least 2 encores. To me no band comes even close to their raw talent. I know Steve Perry is a little cocky but so what. Look at the stuff he’s done. I’m a singer myself and i can sing lead and harmony. Most harmony I’ve learned over the years is from Steve Perry and Journey. Hands down one of the best, if not THE best bands is Journey. I’ll stick by that til i die one day.
