It's best to check the job descriptions of ten sample jobs first before mastering a new skill. If you see ten jobs you like that require hubspot mastery, that are remote, you will know for sure that it's a good skill to attain.

Ronan how to become more articulate at workplace do you think any books provide information about it..
Yeah, I think "Words That Work: It's Not What You Say, It's What People Hear" by Frank Luntz is good for that, and also, "Words can change your brain" by Andrew Newberg. By the way, how did you get on with the other books I recommended? Did you like them?
@@ronankennedy Yes i am listening to their audiobooks it's very informative and wise from a newcomers perspective i found it enlightening 😊

How to get placed in top companies in any industry even with some shortcomings like for example lesser experience.. what factors work extremely well in our favour when it comes to differentiate ourselves or project some sort of expertise.. which ideas actually work...
Good sales skills. If you can sell, you can impress the clients with your project delivery and you can increase company revenue.
@@ronankennedy How to present it in interviews.. any example of sales skills..
@@mohibquadri4053 Prospecting, Closing, Negotiation, Presentation, Communication, Empathy, Adaptability, Persuasion, Problem-solving, Relationship building, Product knowledge, Active listening, CRM
How to use leverage in our favour at workplace..
I'm not fully sure what you mean by the question. But the answer I can give you is to use it to help the organisation achieve its goals - that way you'll become invaluable to the company
@@ronankennedy How to do it - can you provide any examples to better understand the topic of leverage and why some people have it and others not as an advantage...
@@mohibquadri4053 Yeah sure. Leverage is like a lever - something you use to move something bigger. Albert Einstein is often quoted as saying: "Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world." Therefore, it's about using resources wisely and strategically in a professional environment to maximise impact and achieve significant results. Really what I think you're looking for is to be indispensable - this is when a company doesn't just want your skills, they need your skills. They can't do without your skills. This is ultimate leverage! Examples of leverage are: being the best at the skill that the organisation needs, having expert knowledge that the organisation needs, or being the only one who can solve the problem that the organisation needs. Lionel Messi has HUGE leverage because he's one of the best players, if not THE best, in the world. He has huge leverage because he can do something that not many others can do - consistently score goals at a high level. Hope that helps!
@@ronankennedy Rich thoughts and Wonderfully wise 😊 now i only have query about - your best point company doesn't want ur skills but need ur skills without which they cannot continue ! So as an Hvac engineer working with air conditioning clients and consultants of construction how can i set myself apart when other seniors or coworkers can replicate or have my same skills.. like what qualities am i forgetting to highlight or identify to work upon and make it my superpower skill ?? Can active listening or excellent verbal communication become those indispensable qualities...
@@mohibquadri4053 The answer lies in the answer to these questions: What's the biggest challenge the company or the clients have? Why do they struggle with it?
Great points to know! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful Lisa!
"Mom, can we have Ryan Tubridy" "We have Ryan Tubridy at home" Ryan Tubridy at home:
Huh? I'm so confused
If an employer doesn't even hint about the suggested start and finish times, I ask them to stipulate this. We do have lives!
Yeah totally agree - you have to know what you're signing up for!
@@ronankennedy Knowing saves everyone's time.
Sir one question which always came in my mind is - How can an individual play an important or outstanding role in making his company a top player in market lets say an engineering construction company.. what are contributions which can lead to faster growth of company from an employees perspective who wish to skyrocket his own career path also in the journey.. which steps would be essential to take
Have you asked the company this question? Meeting and exceeding their needs is a good way to start. Then, as I don't know the full situation, the general advice is to help the company growth its revenue and client base.
@@ronankennedy I am yet to join the company but since there a career gap i want to cope up with wasted time years and get momentum to get ahead faster so the advice which i usually get is experience plays key role in growth but you might also agree that salary is not based on experience its a myth ! So how can i earn 3x,5x or 10x ? What is the path if there's some.. is it driving results with innovative thinking or creativity or something else where i can contribute and grow...
@@mohibquadri4053 Ask the company "what would I have to do to earn 10X my salary". This is probably difficult for them to answer because even if they wanted you to bring in large clients and sell lots of projects, as someone just starting, they need to develop trust with you. It's similar to me asking you, "what would I have to do for you to give me X amount of money"? You might be happy with a promise, but probably you'd want to see the result first.
@@ronankennedy No not necessarily i feel that you've taken the last range of my point which was 10x salary whereas all i wanted to know was the secrets behind such peak points and idea of 3x or 5x is actually possible after spending some months/yrs in a company as some career strategist say and give proofs..
@@ronankennedy Could you recommend any interviews or podcasts of experts who talk around these topics..
If you are doing design properly, it is based on reasoning and logic. Yes there is some subjectivity but that is because people and mostly devs not knowing how design works.
Totally agree! Design's gotta be backed up by solid reasoning and logic. Figuring out what users need, making things easy to use, and making sure everyone can access it - all about thinking it through.
This is very true and something I've also learned along the way! Never be afraid of designing :)
Thanks
You're welcome. Thanks for joining Noah
Interesting analysis !! Could you suggest better ways- if making big money in corporate world as engineer or in general is the only goal which path is the most suitable to adopt and how like earning promotions quicker, climbing ladder etc or remaining in same position ? Also how is it possible for me in initial stage of career to demand promotions or high pay after 6 months or a year by solving any of their major problems.. does any books on creativity or innovation thinking examples work drastically well in advancing rapid growth ..
OK, so, what's your top priority? Earning promotions? Increased pay? Making big money? Learning quickly?
@@ronankennedy Making big money is the only goal...
@@mohibquadri4053 The best thing to do is start and scale a business, using code, media or products. Services work too but they’re harder to scale. Reduce your risk by doing this as a side hustle to start, demonstrate the income stream and then scale. Also, when thinking of which business to start, it's usually easier to get paid well by solving "rich people" problems as they have more money to give you. Simple, but not easy. Making big money working in a company is difficult (I'm assuming by "big money" you mean "as much as possible") because the company knows that if you make big money, you no longer need their job. If you mean "good money - like a top salary", typically people who are good at building relationships (high emotional intelligence) and delivering commercial results (sales) are the ones who make good money. The other way to do this is to be super expert/niche where you're actually indispensable (think star player on a football team) - but then you also have more income security risk if one day you're suddenly not needed (get injured, or become too old etc - to continue the analogy)
@@ronankennedy I've never received such a wise and well thought out answer 😊 extremely valuable ! Could you suggest some best books on the type of business you're suggesting in first few sentences so that i get required essential information needed to start it.. also as you've said in second paragraph about "Good money" thinking like a star player - how to become that top player who earns more than the rest ? Which books can help here also if i want to get insights about it.. i am reading books about emotional intelligence and assertiveness at the moment which seems pretty interesting..
@@ronankennedyi actually have completed internship after mechanical engineering now i am hvac engineer in Aec construction industry working for air conditioning projects for consultants and contractors so i am keen to understand the path of progress without being dependent on number of years of experience in the field.
Hello hi
Hi 👋!
Bending over for aba 30k a year 😂
huh? what do you mean?
@@ronankennedy i will put this in simple terms: Creating a video like this to bend over for HR departments to even look at the application yet in the end its all about doing it for the very lucrative 30k job.
Why can't it be for a higher paying job, if that's what you're looking for?
@@ronankennedy Because higher paying jobs typically wont ask you to produce a mini vlog for the sake of a interview
@@aj478 Neither will the low paying jobs. Over the past decade helping job seekers find roles, I've only come across it once or twice. The point of this video is to allow candidates to do something extra-stand out from the crowd and build a relationship with the employer... starting with a video intro.
No no no no no. You don't have to sound smart all the time. You can tell the truth in a professional way. "FOCKIN dikhed passed me over for promotion" =/= "While it's been a good career experience and I'm grateful for the opportunity, I have outgrown this role. It has been made clear to me that no roles are opening and no promotions are on the horizon, so I will be moving on." "Can you work extra?" "No, and all those people that were made redundant didn't get the opportunity to 'work extra' to pay their mortgages, so It's non negotiable."
Yeah but if you live in a small community and come across as uncompromising, it might affect your reputation or future opportunities, whereas, if you're diplomatic, it won't

Was having to do 3 or 4 jobs all night long. Just got started on the 2nd job when asked why i wasn't done with the first. Bc lead asked me to do this job right away. So shortly after I switched to start 2nd job. It's like you have to help your partner. He's slowing down. Then it was an awful circle jerk.
Wow, sounds like a super tough night. Hope you got through it OK buddy.
This guy has no skills.
Haha! I do now!
I started seeing the beginning of this at my previous job so I quit before it got ugly. I was promoted to a new very challenging role but they expected me to basically get the hang of it right away and when one of my managers left, they expected me to cover for her but she had over 12 years of experience and I only had 1. In the last few weeks I would find myself googling literal law processes and how they worked so I could do my job when I'm not a lawyer nor have any legal background. I was so scared of making a mistake and having that directly affect the clients that I asked my boss for more training. She said she would have me take a legal course over the summer alongside other employees, but weeks went by and I heard nothing. Then one day I find out all those employees were given their credentials to enter the course and I wasn't. That to me was a sign that they didn't like me and didn't care about investing in some training for me even though it would make everyone's jobs easier and the course was free...And that same week I was overlooked for a promotion I had been promised months before. I quit the next day. I just knew they would start to make my life harder and possibly put me on PIP and scare me with metrics and what not down the line. It sucked because I really liked my job but it was eating me alive with all the responsabilities and stress. I think they didn't like me as a person because I wouldn't kiss ass like other employees, instead I thought my excellent work would speak for itself, but apparently they cared more about mediocre personality hires than good employees. I was an excellent employee, I went above and beyond and exceeded expectations. And I knew no other employee would be able to do my role, so why try to manage me out when that would affect them? It just didn't make any sense. But that's how quiet firing is, non sensical and it is not personal, it is just a reflection of a terrible work enviroment.
All i heard was someone who couldn't do their job properly? So bosses were being kind vs straight up firing you which is what I would've done.
Yeah, that's exactly what happened!
Like watching your videos and there is a lot to learn
That's awesome-thanks for watching!
Im leaving my Job today, wish me luck
Good luck!
