This method is force coefficient method. But many people use pressure coefficient method. Whether the final result is same for both the methods for wind load. Your first method is simple and follow in earlier version staad pro v8i. Now auto wind load generation is available in latest edition

At the beginning of the video, at the 1:30 minute mark, where you mention reducing the dimensions of the columns to avoid a soft story, I would like to clarify that you are likely referring to reducing the height of the columns and not their cross-sectional dimensions. It wasn't initially clear to me as it was mentioned in the video, and I just wanted to emphasize that. Excellent video, keep up the great work!

Almost all buildings have masonry. Then what is bare frame? There are two options: (1) Do not use stiffness of masonry (2) Use stiffness of masonry. I qualify this building as bare frame, since we are not using stiffness of masonry in resisting earthquake loads. What is your opinion after this argument?

2.5% as per my knowledge is the maximum reinforcement allowed in beams as per the ductile code! For columns we can go upto 6% theoretically but practice wise upto 3-4% is tolerable for heavily loaded buildings else column sizes will be too high !

    Is it 300mm x 600mm or 9" x 18" in case span upto 16', bcz 18" = 450mm, so which one is correct, 18" or 600mm ? Also for span more than 16' you have given 12" x 18" converted into mm as 300mm x 600mm, so 600mm is correct or 18" ?
