Bemidji Symphony Orchestra

The Bemidji Symphony Orchestra is a thriving community orchestra serving north central Minnesota. We bring orchestral music of many genres and influences, including classical, movie themes, pop, jazz, and other music, striving to reach to new audiences while honoring the music interests of our loyal fan base. Through its rehearsals and concerts, the BSO also provide performance experiences for talented musicians from throughout northern Minnesota. The BSO performs seven subscription concerts each season, concerts for 4th and 5th grade students biennially, and other educational experiences for youth.
Chris Brubeck. Quiet Heroes
"Quiet Heroes" tells the story of the 5 Marines and one Navy Corpsman who enlisted from various parts of the United States in a strange combination of luck and fate, were the 6 men who were captured in the iconic Joe Rosenthal photographic raising the American flag on the hellhole of Iwo Jima's Mt. Suribachi.
