We have had this mum and dad scam several times. We were suspicious right from the start, I knew my daughter would never ask for my financial help so I did not believe it. I rang my daughter and she had not lost her phone.

MY suggestion to the scam team is to obtain numerous volunteers all over the country who could drive out to the persons house who is being scammed just to knock on the door saving time. The warning with the knock on the door would alert the scammed person to put the phone down. If the team asked for volunteers on the programme for drivers they would get thousands and would cover the whole country in all post codes with a possible 15 min drive max. I don't do e.mail etc so anyone agreeing with me could contact the team and suggest this. IT MAY WORK ?????

my dad has his computer serviced and came back with anydesk on it and I got dad to watch scam interceptors and phoned me said get this application off my pc so I did told him to shut his computer down till I get there

Listening to the scam happen and then have the guy repeat “so this is what happened..”. WE KNOW WE WERE WATCHING!! Couldn’t watch more than 15min. And this show just won a BAFTA?!!

I think, if it would be good that ,all places in UK and Ireland must have a regular Community service that people will gather to, teach them avoid to be scam / Love Scam. They are all around the internet. Facebook,Twitter/X,instagram,Amazon and others. We have to stop these criminals ruining our lives.

Mostly Scammers came from India, Pakistan and Africa specially Nigeria. It is easily to get alert the way they speak English( not a Native speakers)their accent is different than Real English Speakers.

I read on the news today of a romance scam in Australia a 77 year old man lost over a million dollars,he sent apple gift cards,his son found a Woolworths shopping bag full of used gift cards ,with a promise from the so called female scammer she would give him gold bars worth over 20 million.,promised him she would come to Australia,and take care of him. This poor man passed away a month after learning of the scam.so sad

if you hear an Indian accent on the other end be suspicious, and I say that as an Indian myself.

If they call me & say I’m calling from your bank I ask them which one, usually works

Please let us know which bank has the special feature that prevent remote access so we can all go bank there. Phew!! 😰
