Solid advice cleaning off your oil with brake spray.. I had mine completely taken apart since I was changing a few things. Fairings, tank, and airbox... I forgot I'd left the oil on the exhaust. Put everything back together and turned it over when it started smoking. I panicked and took off the tank in under a minute only to realize it was the damn oil I left on the exhaust and forgot about XD

It is a great video but I thought the nut on the oil filter is for undoing only not fastening 🤔. It is only welded on and may cause a crack when force is applied and leading to leakage.

Throttle body must be checked

Step 1: Change the oil. Step 2: Dip the cat in oil and stuff it into a feather pillow. Step 3: Upload the video of the new chicken-cat species and win a Nobel prize. Step 4: Win. jk don't do that. :D

Remember to fill the new filter with fresh oil before screwing in. The oil filter can take up to 500ml, cusing an incorrect oil level. Otherwise great vid.

best thing i do is Buy 2 Oil filters and 2 bottles of oil. 1 filter and one bottle for Flushing then the other for using nice clean oil and then you know when about to change the oil

Helpful vid, although I've got one question. Wouldn't undoing your oil drain plug before unscrewing the thingamabob on the top avoid making your hands dirty? I guess that it's tight enough to keep the underpressure that would hold the oil inside until you actually remove the second plug, isn't it?

the mapping sucks. i hope that yamaha will release a new mapping soon. B and STD mode are ok (b lacks low-mid range power and std is not smooth enough for my taste but "good" overall). A is like an on/off switch just horrible... The bike itself is amazing.

Nice riding, it's unfortunate Lane Splitting is illegal over here in the states (with the exception of Cali). It's normal practice to ride that way in Europe and Asia, and dat torque curve on the fz09 is simply amazing for city driving. Be safe-
