Free Diving With Dolphins in Hawaii
A few days ago I got the chance to free dive/snorkel of the west coast of O'ahu, Hawaii and came across and entire pod of wild Nai'a (dolphin) who cruised by me. Definitely one of the most memorable experiences of my life! They were literally coasting by, less that 10 feet away from me. I also ran into a family of Honu (Green Sea Turtle) I was able to get some pretty surreal shots with my GoPro Hero 3+ Black Edition. Hopefully I will be back to this area soon and run into more of these wonderful sea creatures.

Me and a friend jumping off Santa Monica Pier Little did we know this was an arrestable crime in the mainland (we're from Hawaii)... after a 20 minute lecture from the lifeguards and Santa Monica PD, they finally let us go with a warning... hahaha Good fun :)

I am so sad to hear that Kumu is gone. 19 years ago I walked into his class, a stranger, but he saw my heart and welcomed me for the 4 months that I was in the Islands. I still tell stories of how powerful his spirit was, and how I learned in the Halau, what I had been seeking. My first sight of the powerful spirit of dance. Does any one know what became of Li Pe'a who studied with him, and her children did also? Who is Kumu now? He was preparing someone years ago when I last visited.

Me too. My niece dances for Halau Ka Lei Mokihana O Leinaala and our Kumu danced for Unko Ray and is here on Kauai each year at our Hoike. Rest in Peace Unko Ray. You will be greatly missed.
