You don't like Hallmark?!

Oh fun! What stars are appearing for your weekend?

I really enjoyed it! I say that knowing however I did not pay for my room (I used points) so that saved $1,200. If I had paid for that I don’t think I would have done it. I loved talking to everyone -that was a highlight. Lots of multigenerational families with mom, grandma, & granddaughters in tow that all watch the movies together but I’m not that big of a super fan…I enjoy them but I couldn’t name all the stars and what movies they were in. I also don’t like standing in lines for hours ( all the panels were packed) But the tree and the market were fun -having a hot chocolate and sitting by the fires made the start of the season really festive. I would go again next year if I had enough points to stay for free again! Let me know if you go-I would love to hear your take on it!

Hallmark is very disorganized and there really isn’t much information. Because of your video I already printed our schedule in case the WiFi glitches.

I lived in Santa Monica and I remember the water was so far from the start of the sand! My mom gave up when she came to visit. It was too long of a walk! I totally get you!

@ LOL…yep that’s the worst*. From the parking lot to the water was like trying to cross this freaking Sahara. And if you’ve got any stuff with you…ice chest, chairs, towels…anything for the kids…forget it. I don’t know how we managed stuff when my mom took my brother and me. I do remember though needing to buy drinks, maybe even food. Hmmm…maybe we weren’t at Santa Monica. LOL. Where ever we were, it was a hike. Mom would put out the blankets. I ran off to the water. My brother was only two, so she had to keep an eagle eye on him. I don’t know how we managed to not get burned lobster red. We were all pretty fair skinned. Even the best suntan lotions back then wouldn’t last in the water at all. *Huntington Beach isn’t much better.

Agreed. It was a very aggressive color choice! Way outside my comfort zone!

Of course that’s always an option but unless I get an upgrade my budget allows for the smaller room. You really didn’t think that closet was exceptionally small???

It wasn’t small for NY real estate. The JW wasn’t fitting your budget. Make videos from more affordable hotels: I suggest the Courtyard, W, or Sheraton in Time Square. This way you won’t appear to be a Debbie downer living beyond your financial means.

That’s an interesting take on it. I always thought getting a passport stamp was so exciting but that’s coming from someone who grew up on the south side of Chicago and never dreamed of going anywhere. All perspective…

They take a card at check in for incidentals but not a deposit that I am aware of.

It really is! Although the weather about did me in. I require more sunshine to thrive!

Two chairs are included for most of the hotels and it’s $25 for an umbrella -the loungers can run $150 and if you can believe it-some of the daybed rentals were $500 for two people for the day! It can get pricy fast.
