Question: Is it o.k. to use Johnson paste wax to repair small worn patches on spruce.It works quite well but I have never seen anybody else use wax. Am I damaging the wood in the long run? rrplato@gmail.com

It is a replica of a Santos Hernandez Flamenco 1934 and it turned out that, compared to all my other guitars including Hermanos Conde (Faustino) Arcangel Fernandez among others, it stands its ground superbly. Although I'm now infected by the luthier virus, it will be my first and last guitar, as I'm still in business as a teacher. So good luck to you and keep the spirit!

David Barnich I want to become one as well although I've heard half and half about it most ppl say the money is mostly in repair others say there's none at all would you say its something you could be stable off of
Rodney Campbell, I hope that the luthier I would hire didn't make guitars because of the pay but the passion. I, however, do believe it is deserving of much! I hope you find what you love and are more than sufficiently compensated.
