Been wanting to make a Hikari no Densetsu yuri AMV since I saw it, and I experimented a lot on this =D It was fun to edit all the rhythmic gymnastics scenes.

awwww that's so sweet. thank you! by any chance, i don't know much about figure skating though i like to watch a vid or two now and then, do competitions make it a requirement for paired skaters to be m/f? are there same-sex duos out there? <3
Thank you! For official (ISU) competitions, the pairs and ice dancers have to be in m/f pairs (well, LeDuc came out as nonbinary, so I guess more accurately 'male for competitive category purposes/female for competitive category purposes'). However, there have been same-sex pairs at ice shows and at non-ISU competitions like the Gay Games or ISI competitions :)

@@user-ob2kn6rp2v I wish, haha :) Some of them I simply remembered coming out or it being mentioned in an article or interview, and there's a site called Rainbow Ice with biographies of older queer skaters. There's also a category on Wikipedia, though it's incomplete, and I think at least one of the entries doesn't have a source for them being out and I couldn't find one myself. So I found them all over the place

Me again. Just thinking about the lyric "my heart isgold but my hands are cold" relating to Victor being the perfect gold medalist but his hands are cold because he is alone. And when he get's Yuuri he has a hand to hold and a golden ring to remind him he's not alone anymore.
That is exactly the lyric that inspired this :) I heard it and thought it was perfect for Victor. I like your idea about having Yuuri's hands to keep him warm by the end of the series!
Oksana’s personal story of struggle is gut wrenching and her gymnastics career is inspirational. Sia’s song is perfect for her life story. Oksana IS the Greatest.

This is so good. And quite sad. The song matches perfectly for Victor, and this video did it justice. I like the way the colours were unnatural, it made the dream-like feel all the more pronounced, especially when paired with the "You can't wake up, this is not a dream" line. Well done!
