    Would you share your sourdough starter formula? It looks to be the consistency I’m striving for but haven’t achieved yet.

    • @Lmr6789s
      @Lmr6789s 7 дней назад

      I don't really have an exact formula I just feed it heavily flour so let's say 2 cups of flour and maybe a cup or so of water. I add less water and slowly add more as needed after giving it a good initial mix until it's the consistency I want

    • @Tractor36

    • @Lmr6789s

      @Tractor36 I just use khorasan flour which is known as kamut flour. Kamut is the brand name for khorasan. I don't do any mixtures at all it's just an established flour I have had for years now 🙂

    • @Lmr6789s
      @Lmr6789s Год назад

      We used hay bales at the bottom and then topped it with composted cow poo! But you can definetly do larger logs for 1/3 then finner sticks for the next 1/3 and then top the rest with soil 🙂 good luck with your future garden beds I keep wanting to add more lol!

    • @freedomgrows

I use the egg water, after I boil eggs and let it cool, for the calcium that leaches out. In the the banana water, I also mix in a handful of compost to increase the microbes. It’s fun watching your videos. You’re motivating me to do more! I will do some blender compost and add that to my raised beds that have been covered in leaves for the winter. Thank you!!

      That's another awesome idea about using the boiled egg water!! Yes I've been splitting it in half giving the chickens some of the eggs back and saving some for my gardens. I'm glad you enjoyed this video! Thank you for watching!

    What is your recipe for feed Please?

    • @Lmr6789s
      @Lmr6789s Год назад

      I don't currently make my own chicken feed as the ingredients worked out more expensive than purchasing it at the feed store I found! But I would love to make my own feed one day if I can source the seeds for cheaper!

    I love the list! I use most of what's listed except never thought of blending it all up for a quicker release, which is awesome! Also never heard of the starch water. Thank you for sharing with us 🤗

      I used to throw that water away and learned how good it was for the plants! It's nice to have simple things to feed to your plants while waiting for compost to break down lol thank you you watching and glad you like the video 🙂

    Nice video! You can make really good apple cider vinegar. Put your apple scraps, or chopped apples in water with a bit of sugar, I do 1T per apple. Stir it once a day fora couple of weeks and you’ll have wonderful homemade goodness. Check out Mary’s Nest she did a good video on it.

      @@Lmr6789s oh I definitely will I’m sure lol and she just adds to the videos lol. My little girl is 15 now😳 they grow up too fast so definitely enjoy the younger years all their years really lol. I missed her first walking etc because I joined the army in 08 sigh. Basic training graduation she didn’t recognize me at first lol. She’ll always be my baby girl and she knows it. I’m out on the road a lot but I’m definitely going to set up some type of self irrigation system this year if my outside fur brat cats don’t mess with any of it lol🤣❤️

    Feathers, if you have chickens? Feathermeal is a fertilizer, but wouldnt they be nearly as effective, and mebbe more time-release just mixing them in whole with old bedding (sawdust or straw)?

    • @Lmr6789s
      @Lmr6789s Год назад

      Oh yes chickens would be great of course but I wanted to aim this video for very quick fertilisers that anyone could have access to do no animals involved 🙂
