Same issue might arise! Will your department and BOB bank coordinate to give both of you postings in same station? Discuss this with the girl before getting married. Transfer in banks on spouse grounds depends on vacancy but in government, it depends on bureaucratic process! Both the department and the bank will have to coordinate to accomodate both of you together, which is quite difficult, in my opinion. Basically it will be a constant headache throughout the marriage to get postings together.

You will have to discuss this with the girl. Even if she gets posted nearby, she may be transferred later as part of routine reshuffling and mandatory rural postings for a certain duration.

You're a technician with quite low salary posted in a samll town. Group C or lower level railway employees have stable postings but in backward and remote areas. Group B employees also get transferred in around 10 years and less likely to be in big cities. Totally depends on luck 🤞. Group A officers get posted in Big cities but they get transferred every 2-3 years. So whatever I have said holds true in your case as well. You have less chances of transfer but you have low income and you are less likely to get posting in a big city as you are a technician.

Their pay structure needs to be revised and should be different from the rest of the central government employees pay scales. You're from IIT, and you joined the government services for job security. If you want to serve the nation, you don't really need to get into government service. You could have started a startup and created jobs for the unemployed youth in this country. That could have been a bigger contribution than what you would contribute as ACIO! But, I guess you are one of the bottom products of IIT. Who are just lucky to find a job....let alone creating jobs.
