I wish I had thought of this before I installed an overhead gauge pod on my G9! I ran the gauge cable inside the windshield strut to conceal it as much as possible. I've been trying to think of a way to get my cart in a covered trailer though, and you just made it look simple! Now, maybe I'll have to re-run my gauge cable so I can copy you!
The point you make about opening the throttle all the way, then removing slack from cable, is exactly correct. That's what I needed to hear. Thanks. This is very helpful.
This is the best swap I've seen. 👍👍👍👍👍
anyone have a amazon equivalent link of this seat ??
Nice
Finally a kayak specific mod that won’t kill the bank with tools I have and materials I don’t need. Thanks a lot
If you over tighten you can drill a bigger hole and use a well nut
Will the 3” work on the front and back?
I can't Remember what the rear has on it. I no longer own this van. I think it had leaf springs on the rear, I may be wrong.
Well when the silencer and baffle fell out I was losing a lot of compression. In the end it caused my bike to have low bottom end. But my high end went up. At least when I was able to get up to speed.
Mine still runs great, great low end and top speed is higher.
Yeah come to find out one of my plugs on the ignition coil was coming off which was causing it to bog down and back fire. Now when I first bought mine I was hitting about 60+ and now after all the problems I had I'm only able to reach 52 mph. Now keep in mind I did get mine used. And while I'm still working on it I am just going to upgrade everything. Even adding a stretch and lowering kit. As well as a few extra self-made modifications.
I removed the cluster pretty much as you di. The three screws almost full out. There doesn't seem to be a threaded hole or pal nut for them to attach to. Any one have an idea what I am talking about? Thank you.
Did you have to do anything with the sway bar? Drop kit, or is it good as is?
Mine didn't have a sway bar at all oddly. But it did just fine..
@cartsquads47 gotcha thanks for gettin back to me!
Hey C&Q, I bought this same kit for my ‘03 E450, but Ford uses a M20 bolt so the 3/4 thread Extenders don’t fit as you noted. I’m concerned that the smaller dia. 3/4” stud will wear the knuckle spindle oblong. Thoughts? I’m having trouble finding a longer M20 partial thread bolt at 230mm+.
As long as you tighten up up real good it won't hurt it any, put some loctite on it.
@@cartsquads47 👍🏼I realized after I commented that it’s not pivoting on that bolt. I found a local supplier that had M20 bolts, so I’m putting those in. Thx
What's the name of the 4 aluminum piece called?
They are just cable replacement ends, search e250 door handle cable end replacements on Amazon.
Nice trailer. Towards the end, the video was chopped up.
I must have messed up my video edit.
Yes I did the same idea but I wrapped the bottom frame with a pool noddle then secured it down and that pool noodle halos to raise the seat and seat it back farther in the kayak and gives you even a softer seat ride !! Seat feels great after 8 hours of fishing !!!
Where did your order from?
TXPOWERSPORTS.COM
Didn’t even ride it. Lol
My cart is currently at 12.5 " I would need a step stool to load the wifey up there!
Caliper are made with digital read out HF cheap
Yeah I ended up buying one
I what a 4" lift with 18 ' wheels, old folks find a difficult climbing onto lifted carts. The 6 ' A arm lift is not too expensive for a DS. I can cut 2" out of the spindles. May be hire a pro to do the welding?
I would love a welding demo.
Did use the flux core to extend the spindles? It's obvious that your a good welder.
Yeah pretty much everything on this cart was all flux core.. I'm not the best welder, but I guarantee nothing will break lol.
Looks great
Thanks!
Can we see you drive it? How’s the gearbox holding up
Right now I'm working on the brakes, I wrecked it last weekend lol. I'll put some driving videos up soon.
Can the tire be changed for something better to be used on dirt and gravel?
Hi.what did you do to the vacuum hoses
Great idea 👍👍 looking forward to more videos on your golf cart.
Looks good 👍👍
Thanks 👍
Great video. The link for the spacers claims it will not work on econoline vans with twin I beam front end. Have you experienced any problems?
Thanks, No I didn't have any issues at all on my van. I'm not sure why it says that.
I’m thinking about purchasing one and can’t find many resources online. Are you part a Reddit community you’re part of by any chance? Would love to pick your brain about the trike and what you’ve upgraded
Get on the madogg group on FB, lot of useful information on there
@@cartsquads47 appreciate ya 🙏
What size rims and tires do you have?
I just bought one of these for a travel trailer. Thanks for the demo!
Did you get longer shocks or keep the stock ones?
I kept stock. Still handled decent.
The thing is, i don't trust these heaters in an enclosed space, mass produced, Chinese diesel heater, just asking for carbon monoxide poisoning.
Always good to use a carbon monoxide detector but They are actually a lot safer than you would think..way safer than a buddy heater or any typical propane heater. This is basically clean air that blows over a hot metal head which warms the heat. They also have an external exhaust. All the emissions are being released outside of the camper.
Any idea how it runs on a mud and dirt surface?
it doesn't
wotts at 47 plymouth ?
Family heirloom
hahahahahhahahhaha @@cartsquads47
Will this be compatible with 99 e150 ?
As long as it has coil springs in the front it will work..
@@cartsquads47 thank you my car does have the coil spring you rock 🫡
Did you get the new bolts at ace hardware? I need the same exact ones you got i have the same car lol
@@edgardoestrada313 I bought my bolts at Tractor supply. But any hardware store should have them.
Finally! Someone who knows what they’re doing and I can kinda sorta understand it. 😅😃
Put green one in first you will have plenty of room!
Quick video 12 min. Ffs what a yapper.
We appreciate it! Please don't forget to like and subscribe!
Ibthinknthiscwill help me thanks
Does it retract high enough to pull it or do you have to remove it before you hit the road?
Mine went up high enough. It depends all on where you mount it also. It has two mounting positions.. this one actually ended up going out on me. I had to order a replacement.
@@cartsquads47 how many times did you use it before it went out?
@@cartsquads47yep, sounds like vevor quality! They make everything from toothpicks to spaceships.
Thanks for the video. Just finished the lift thanks to you. How are the tires on the highway? Are they loud or about average for mud tires?
Awesome! Yeah they are a little loud but they are tolerable.
this is the wrong way you have nothing holding the track bar to axle it's going to walk back and forth causing wear in track bar bolt hole, second factory bolts are metric thats why nut had play. you needed shorter bolts to make the bolts pull tight on track bar, or buy a more high quality kit that come with everything.
You have absolutely no idea what your talking about. There are NO front axles on the front of these vans. These have spindles and I beams. Go troll somewhere else!
Thinkin of gttn one thanks for the video
nice build can't wait to see it finished.
Never had the problem of mines cutting off full throttle,, I get 45 , but im also 225lbs, but dosent cut off.
Looks great…. I was thinking about building an enclosed utility trailer in my garage as well, but did not think it would be feasible with the 7 foot door.
Thanks, mine will barely fit under my door. I have about 2 inches of clearance above it.
Not sure if that "interior" adhesive will hold up?
The adhesive really wasn't even a necessary step, neither was the Luan underlayment. I mainly did that just to help keep the metal from looking all bubbled up like most trailers do. I technically could've just screwed the metal to the studs and sealed the seams with the sikaflex seam adhesive and it would've been fine. That's what most enclosed trailers have.
What spare tire carrier did you install?
I made that one. Pretty sure I have a video for it on here somewhere.
@@cartsquads47 I searched thru all of your videos you only have 3 for this van
