Modeling 3D Axisymmetric Myring Hull in Solidworks from XY Points
Switch to 1080p or 720p resolution for better view.
Myring Hull is an axisymmetric hull having the least drag coefficients, the profile of which can be calculated using Myring Hull equations.
This video tutorial shows how generate xy points for the profile of a Myring Hull using a Matlab code, which are then be imported into a 3D CAD modeling software Solidworks to draw a 3D model of the specific Myring Axisymmetric Hull.

    I'm used to doing meshing on structural analyses, but for CFD, does it not matter if the tetrahedral elements are linear? Is it because nothing's being deformed? I just noticed this across a few videos, so I was just curious. Thank you!

      Most CFD codes and commercial software can support non-linear meshes since they are finite volume based solvers and not finite element based.

      Yes, but needs a good pc. You may not need the fluid domain to be defined as far as in this video, depending on your flow conditions, and as dense mesh far away from the body. Adjust according to your case.
