Idk if it’s every city but in Portland they don’t have school buses for high schools and all the students ride public transportation.

Mine regular city bus driver would always stop at my stop early just to chill and have a smoke and his coffee lol yes I was the first stop. We became friends and he eventually started coming the the garage I worked at

That's not a school bus its public transport, if the bus is ahead on its route by a few minutes the drivers are usually allowed to stop and wait for the time to even out and yes they use the bathroom like humans do

That's not a school bus, it's public transport and the driver can get fired for this with a passenger on board.

A school bus driver is not allow to stop at McDonalds with children on the bus...Rule in NYC
