I am a musician, and produce music, I buy libraries of sounds {VST} I bought th korg i2/i3 in 1993. produced my best music arrengement, I learn every singel detail of this keyboard. I sold it and after 17 years i had to buy it again, is unique just as korg M1 wich i bouht it also.

Hi, i just got the XV 5080 and setting up has been a nightmare, could you please help? DAW - Cubase Interface - SPL Crimson 3 MIDI kyboard - Nektar Impact LX61 (USB) I have two audio cables and one MIDI cable. How do i set it up to work with Cuase?

For anyone working on early versions of these... NEVER EVER EVER pop off the clear plastic bars that hold the ribbon cables down on either end of the keybed (not shown in your video because if they exist on your model, they're under the keybed on either side). It WILL cause the carbon contacts to break and likely ruin them forever. I just finished repairing one of these that I did that very thing to. I had to steal a full keybed from a Roland KR-55 which isn't a perfect fit but does work just fine. So, if you open one of these, BE VERY CAREFUL with those ribbon cables you see curled around the left and right sides of the keybed. Same goes for the D-70 and KR-33 and KR-55. That said, is yours using the newer contact board where everything that's green is entirely one piece all the way to the brown connector board? That was Roland's fix for this terrible issue, but they're nearly impossible to find now and require replacing or converting that brown contact board.

Nowadays [ March 2024] if you have to pay $275 for a JV 880, then BUY IT! It's sound quality will be remembered long after the price is forgotten.

Couod you add an input? So it could sample? Since it runs on the S1000 OS.

I wonder if those other two solder pads by the PLG socket + cable, can have sockets installed and then maybe flash the firmware EPROM chip with the MU128 BIOS? Might not work but interesting thought to have a cheap upgrade.

i really wanna know, what's disk format of dps12, i used the bluescsi, it works, but i cant read the image in the computer, so i must burn a cd then used the official tool (called what, i forget, but i know how to found it in google) to get the wav files, but i dont have a scsi cd burner, so i need to read the image file on the computer...please tell me...

It's a pity they made the casing so much deeper than it needed to be. Neat inside but even better from the outside!
