CF musta said something, he told Ricky "my fault".
Sparky saw that and said, I'm gonna get me a Deer!!! And he did several years later.
Center fielder had no business over there.
Wow Rob Deer ...n Cecil...I just subscribed... great content 💥
Catcher? I didn’t know that, cool.
Found Cecil Fielder Hr with Angels in 1998 on RUclips and just before Fielder's Hr they cut to Sparky in the booth! So cool both of your thoughts on Sparky Anderson in this interview. Also I was in Detroit following my A's in 1990 after watching them play 3 in last year of Old Commiskey. I had PLANNED on watching all 3 games in Detroit as well but, while in Detroit decided to drive 3 hours and see my grandma and missed the Friday and Saturday games. We all know now what Cecil did on Saturday! I can't I believe to this day that I missed the only Hr hit in Tiger Stadium that left the building. It was the last time I ever saw my grandma as she died only a few months later. I did attend the Tiger game a day later and saw Tiger Staduum for the first and last time.
Rob listening to this again, would love if you and a former Brewers teammate(s) would share Bob Uecker stories in an upcoming episode?

Mr. Deer as always great podcast glad to see you getting more views. Thanks for all you do!
RIP Rickey!!!
You guys talking about Nolan Ryan @46:20 is classic. Rob you were actually 0 for 14, 10 k's. Dan was 12 for 32 with ops .842, outstanding actually. Rob you Owned some pitcher's as well. Great channel.
George & Al on the call.
I was a big Gladden fan when he started his career with the Giants!
This is going to be an awesome channel, just joined today!
I hosted sports talk radio from 2006-20 before they whacked me. I haven't watched baseball or any sport in 4 years. Not once. As I was about to head out and run a few errands, I noticed this video on the sidebar of my desktop screen and thought "I'll give it a minute." Not only did I watch the whole thing and thoroughly enjoy it, but I did it with my jacket and shoes on, standing up as if I was actually gonna go somewhere. 57 minutes later, I'm typing this comment. The discussion here was a breath of fresh air I didn't even know I needed. Profoundly insightful, thoughtful, and with such sincerity - courtesy of 2 guys who represent everything I could ever love and appreciate about sports and the athletes who give it everything they have. Bravo, gentlemen.
@@TJosephExiles this comment made my day. Thank you
Awesome podcast! I really enjoyed this one with Cecil.
1984 team was the best I have ever seen Rob Deer was really good with Milwaukee when they won the pennant
I know Acura is probably a 9-hole Hitter for The Luxury Car Brand Lineup, but I think they’re so historically underrated. I love my CL Type S, and would love to one day own a 1st or 2nd Generation Legend or a 1st-3rd Generation Integra.
The og integra type R is quite a collector now at Barrett Jackson ! NSX too
Rob, you, Cess, & the "Fruit Loop Kid" were two of my favorite players with our Detroit Tigers and their "fun" years of baseball at good Ol' Tiger Stadium. And I totally agree with you both on these fans that boo players. In my day, we NEVER booed our players. We had a healthy respect for you all, and in the ups and downs, we would feel great when you were doing well, and we would yell it's ok, guys you will get them next time, in the days when you all were in the midst of a slump or made an error that cost a run or even a game. I remember the first time going to a game and hearing some boos. I was like looking around to see what was happening because I couldn't understand why the boo birds were making noise. It sure is a different day and age nowadays. Detroit fans can look fondly on those years with all the memories of good and not so good. It didn't matter because we had our favorite players on the field playing for our team. It's hard to find anyone with that same mentality in these days. We still love you all and I pray our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ of Nazareth blesses you all with health and happiness now and forever more. This is great to see and hear y'all again talking about the good ol days!!! Keep it coming !!! God Bless You Boys !!!!

08/14/88 Niedenfuer gave up 6 hits in 1 inning. I’m sure he broke something in the clubhouse after that game.
Very enjoyable! keep up the great work, can't wait to see/hear more!
But did he dieeeee?
I could have listened to this for another hour. Great stuff! Keep it going!
He hit somewhere below the Mendoza line......but he could crush a ball.
George Kell, classic home unis and Tiger Stadium. Thanks Rob, please keep them coming man, appreciate it.
wow, this is awesome- I sure miss baseball from the 1980's and 1990's! Chris Berman saying the deer that made Milwaukee famous- Rob "Bomba" Deer- you and Cecil on the Tigers rocked! I also liked the Brew Crew teams in the 1980's!
Kell- “hit it a mile” Epic. Watching podcast now
Watching this after Ueker’s passing, great to hear story about him. Great interview with Greg. Ready for a full podcast about Bob.
Rob, one fantastic video...being a Giants fan, since 1965, I appreciate your candor and great story telling,,,keep up the entertaining and informative presentations! Ciao from Minnesota!

Such a great one!
Love all the guests you get on. It’s so great to hear about all the hard work and yet fun you guys had. That’s the way it is when everyone loves what they do. It becomes family. Keep up the good work. I’m setup to get notice when a new one comes out. Larry from Fresno……
Love this so much! Nothing better than two great players talking baseball. Both could hit nukes.
Keep it up Rob
Way to go man, great interview. Love to hear from Mickey T and Pete I too.
In 1991, I was 10 going on 11. That summer my mom enrolled me in baseball. I didn’t want to because it sounded boring but she made me. 😂 After the first practice I fell in love!!! From that point on everything I did had something to do with baseball. For my bday my parents let me pick out a Genesis game at KB Toys. I picked out RBI Baseball 4 and played that game to death! There were so many great teams to choose from in that game because they had playoff and all star teams from the 80’s. But there was only ONE team I played most, and that was the 1991 Tigers. My favorite players were Rob Deer, Mickey Tettleton, Cecil Fielder and Milt Cuyler. Fielder was an out of this world masher, but Deer banged just as much! 😂 It might seem small, but you guys were a huge part of my early love for baseball. 👏🏻 The podcast was great! Keep up the great work guys!
Note: I was mistaken, I got RBI baseball 4 in 1992, which is why it had 1991 rosters. 😂 my bad!
Glad to see Cec doing well. I hope he tells that little future big leaguer Max to sign with the Tigers.
Awesome episode Rob! Love the podcast
Great podcast Rob!!!!❤️
Another great episode. I enjoyed the stories about Sparky Anderson. Keep these coming, they are great!
